I didnt expect a lot and I just got what I expected. Max 3 songs with repeat value. She became a typical empty and corny popstar. Sad but true. Dont even wanna visit the (probably same) live show in summer. Well at least we will always have her old music. Honestly surprised at this. Definitely not as good as many other albums, but it still has a good blend of genres (rock, folk, edm) and has some meaningful songs. Not quite sure how that's empty or corny. A good blend doesnt define a good album. At least not for me. If you or anyone else like it thats alright. At the end everyone got an own taste

Under The Lumineer's and Chris's posts about their collabs, the comments are filled with people hating on them. Pretty much entirely for the Pfizer thing or Pro-choice thing. It's gonna follow her for a while.

Alright, i confess, yesterday the album was on repeat both on my phone and in my car. I was already singing along to most of the songs. She dit it again - she even makes me like stuff I’m not directly in love with lol. This definitely is a grower, yes!
Atm I really like; When I get there, Trustfall, Runaway (want this to be a single and we need this live), last call, hate me.
The collabs are good, however the collab with Chris even annoyed my Boyfriend lol. I had to turn it off in the car. I can understand why, it’s not one of my favorite songs neither.
The other songs maybe will grow on me later too!

I love her but i kind of think she gets a taste of her own medicine right now.

Also i think she gives exactly zero fucks (apart from the death threats of course). I for one know i could easily repel hatred and would rather be hated for something that i clearly 100% know is right than hated for something i know is wrong. Like they are not attacking her because she molested children or killed someone, but because their opinions clash with hers.

Yeah, I completely agree. I love her honesty, but that was so unnecessary. Btw, this album is a grower! why unnecessary? its her opinion and great that she doesnt hold back just because of "middle america".
btw every album/song is a grower if you listen to it X times

That's not just an opinion when you tell those who are not agree with you to don't listen to your music. I meant that when I said "unnecessary". But this is just my opinion (probably an unpopular one, sorry). She has the right to tell whatever she wants, but everything has consequences.

Okay, so is a 'good album/song' one that has to grab you immediately, and anything that takes repeated listening is just your mind/taste levels playing a trick on you? That's silly. That's like saying true beauty is only physical, or true love is only at first sight. Please be mindful not to completely undermine people's opinions, k?

I dont have a problem with her saying what she believes in but she basically told these people to f*ck off. Wasnt she an advocate for not spreading "hate"?

Wasnt she an advocate for not spreading "hate"? i think they started spreading the hate and she told them no to listen to her music. I don’t see how that is spreading hate, at least not as much as being racist for example? It doesn’t matter though, she is right: if you have a strong opinion (and indeed dare be a woman too), no matter what, people will disagree with you. People act like the fact that she said that people shouldn’t listen to her music was the big trigger that attracts all these haters but the truth is the trigger is her being pro-choice, pro-vaccine, anti-racist and an LGBTQ+ ally and not being shy about it. I am pretty sure she would receive this much hate even without telling these people to go fck themselves. And the Pfizer thing is even a next level bullshit because she is not even close to spreading any hate by promoting Pfizer.

I totally respect your opinion and i actually love that she is outspoken but my personal opinion is that her statement was unnecessary and aggressive and she has to accept the consequences now. What goes around comes around Well consider it from both sides. She saw the news unfold and decided to talk about it. But unlike most people she had hundreds of people attack her for it. Yeah, I think most humans would lash out too, we can’t really blame her. But it was definitely a bad move and while I don’t think it effected her too much, it’s definitely effected her public image.

What goes around comes around i think this is not really a “what goes around comes around” situation as i said but anyway i just don’t understand what you are saying she has to accept the consequences. I am not trying to be mean or anything i just genuinely don’t see what you mean. Like she shouldn’t whine about people hating on her and sending her death threats in interviews? Or shouldn’t write songs about it? Because i think otherwise she really just doesn’t care and has enough fans, as i said earlier these people were never her fans to begin with.
