For reference: USA is 9,833,000 sq kilometers EUROPE is 10,180,000 sq kilometers So similar in size... Coronavirus Deaths in Europe:Feb 9: 0 Mar 9: 399 April 9: 66,115 I understand that some European countries are greatly bringing this total up, while others are relatively low. New York State accounts now for 42.4% of all of the deaths in the USA Certain areas are getting hit worse than others. its a horrible pandemic WORLDWIDE... I hope it gets fixed everywhere. I get what you're saying, drnick, but I hope you see what I'm saying too

Let's hope the entire world will have a serious discussion about this - without Trump - after it's over, what went wrong here, and how we deal with the next virus. 🤷♂️

And if you look at the total deaths over total population US: 16,672 / 328,000,000 = .00005 EU/UK: 66,115 / 515,000,000 = .0001 with that data I can say its twice as bad in EU/UK as it is in America.... data can always be used in certain ways to "prove" certain sides. I hope there is a worldwide discussion coming, I said early on this is a world wide problem and it needs a worldwide solution. <3

Vote blue no matter who.

I liked Biden as Obmas VP, Ill vote for him. he's not perfect, but he sure is better than the current "leader" unfortunately I think Trump will lock in a second term. 🤮 hopefully I'm wrong. Washington State will not vote for Trump, Biden will win our state for sure, but I know many Bernie fans who are very against Biden. those people will probably vote for a 3rd party candidate, which again doesn't matter for my state personally. but that kinda response is a clue to how other feel about Biden as well.

There was an article in the newspaper today about why some countries are more affected by the virus, like Italy and Spain, than others :
The more inhabitants have the D polymorphism of ACE1 gene, the fewer infections and deaths were counted in that country. “For example, broadly the D polymorphism of the ACE1 gene is more common the further east you go in Europe,” says Professor Joris Delanghe. "At the same time, you can see that the severity of the Covid-19 epidemic decreases as you move from Western to Central and Eastern Europe."
Now, if someone could explain what this ACE1 gene and D polymorphism is in human language, that would be cool.

only a 3% increase in new confirmed cases for Washington State yesterday. the lowest yet. ❤️ yes! I saw the chart that you posted yesterday. And the numbers surprised me. Tell me if I am wrong with the data: As April 9 Washington state : about 7 600 000 Cases: 9887 Deaths: 475 Province of Quebec : about 8 500 000 Cases: 11678 (but I think we test more) Deaths: 241 For now, we are doing better, but we are not at the same place of the curve. And the peak is likely to be experienced in 2 weeks. According to our government's models, the number of deaths could be between 1263 and 8860 by the end of April. We are not that good (or you are not that bad)! Here in Quebec, our government always tells us that things are going well, that we are among the best in the world (yeah 🙄). And now, they plan to start lifting restrictions and reopen schools and daycares very soon, before the end of April. I'm so confused 😕 We feel betrayed because they told us that our health was a priority and now they just want to restart the economy. Our public health director said the reopening of schools would mean that children would participate in the natural immunization of the population. “We know that young kids don’t get very sick (when they are infected with the virus),” he said. “So the more that they are immunized naturally, the less they will become active vectors for elderly people.” WTF Young kids have parents. So we will get infected too 😲. And teachers. And some or us will die. Maybe some children too 😢. If it was the good strategy (i.e. Natural immunization), they should have done it from the beginning, instead of closing everything. Now, our unemployment rate is so high. ☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️ Trump is not the only stupid person in the world

Now, our unemployment rate is so high. ☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️ Trump is not the only stupid person in the world Yeah, those numbers are correct. the main thing I've been watching, is current spread rates, because I think that's what's really important. and like I said, April 9th being at 3% is real nice to see. I agree with you about schools. Here in Washington school is cancelled for the whole year, which is sad for graduating seniors, who don't get a graduation ceremony or prom or a chance to say goodbye to their friends before heading off to college. However, even if its difficult to accept, it is important. the local economy here is not good, tons of businesses will close for good, meaning business owners know they won't be able to recover and reopen. BUT - that doesn't mean we should shift our plans to try and open things early. Doing that would kind of defeat everything we worked so hard for. we shouldn't rush either for natural immunity, because as you said, kids will infect older population. (besides.... KIDS aren't 100% safe anyway, there have been deaths for young people as well) GOOD LUCK TO YOU. Do what you can, be safe <3

What with parents working in hospitals, homes, ... Kids may not have symptoms but the virus spreads again. And I'm not convinced by immunization theory...some kids will be ill and die maybe. Here most of people dying are in the homes. We also got mail that why my husband's grandmother stays, there is now one case 🥺 So now it's hoping she keeps doing well...
