He's got it under control alright... 😞 He did way too little, far too late, and look what happened. 😢 I honestly don't know what to say, his naive, blindsighted lack of action and taking responsibility makes me feel deeply sad. He had the chance, HE could've done SO much to stop it from spreading had he only listened to the advice coming from Italy and Spain, but no, the ignorant, hesitant, idiot piece of shyt that he is, just stood there and let the catastrophe happen, and now many people are suffering and dying. Several "greatest covid-19 related quotes by Trump" videos are circulating the Norwegian media as well. I normally don't wish death upon people, but I can't help but hoping he gets infected. Maybe then he'll finally understand that this is serious, and nowhere near a regular seasonal flu. He already took the vaccine. Of course. Before all this started. 110%! I love conspiracy theories. But I also don't trust Trump. |

So.. the kindergartens and schools for the youngest children will open after the holidays, after being evaluated by the government and their advisors.. I'm not so excited about that tbh, but I also understand that being in lockdown over a prolonged time isn't good for our health, nor the economy. I just hope people don't take this as an excuse to no longer take precautions, because the risk of having fewer restraints can result in a new outbreak of infected, maybe even for the worst. I am literally shit scared for the ones I love, and having panic attacks daily ever since restrictions took place by the government nearly a month ago.
I do however, don't get affected by the fewer opportunities for recreational activities outside of my home because I already do stay at home alot before this all broke loose, but it certainly does make a major impact on me reading the news with so many dying, people losing their jobs, their homes, elders at nursing homes who can't have visitors, families having to bury their loved ones and not allowed to participate in the funeral 💔😢 and addicts being kicked out from their shelters, forced to walk around all day, with withdrawal syndrome due to lack of narcotics as borders are closed.
It's heartbreaking. Fuck covid 19! 😭

New York just had 5 days in a row with less than 20% daily increase in new cases.
the last 5 days average at 14.68% increase in new cases daily.
the 13 days prior to that averaged out to 36.42% increase daily...
New York is not my any means out of it yet, but the previous 5 days shows me that people are starting to make a change in the way they spread the virus.
This is something to be happy about, but there is still a long way to go

here is the daily graph for my state.... again, not perfect, but the curve is flattening, which is good 👏 if you look at the numbers from the date we first reached 500+ confirmed cases (13/3/2020 w/ 568) to right before we put the shelter in place order (I believe 24/3), the daily increase (averaged) was a little more than 15% increase daily in confirmed cases. If this 15% increase had continued up until today, we would currently have 21,502 cases in Washington. Instead we have 9,608....

starting w/ 1 person a 15% increase daily after 3 months of spread would equal about 290,000 people infected 😰
