Also. drnick ... Iām totally not trying to fight. I think of you as super smart and I like hearing your opinions. Iām just lost. As is lots of the world Well, I'm not an expert on this, but the time Trump actually did not really close the border for people from China I said that doesn't make any sense if the people still allowed in won't get tested - and yet, despite Trump's lies, they still are NOT tested. So if you still allow infected people in, don't quarantine, don't test any of them, what's the point of not really closing the border? Obviously none. The federal government here in Germany is about to suggest to the state governments to issue a mandatory two week quarantine for all people coming in from abroad now, dunno if they will do that. Only makes sense if all states will follow that suggestion.š¤·āāļø
I like your thoughts, but, I think you can agree with me, that trying to just test people coming and going would NOT fix this at this point. The spread is already happening within countries own borders.... People 100% have the virus that don't know it, and will continue to spread it. Your comment about "If not every state does it I don't see the point", well on the bigger scale, that that goes for the whole world, if not every county is on the same page, its really hard to get this working. Really if you can't test EVERYBODY - then you gotta assume everybody has it. and the result of that is everybody has to isolate. Everybody. not just some. Everybody I'm curious as to your thought are to the question: Why did Italy get hit so bad? You might have a solid answer, but it's weird to me that I don't see much finger pointing from the rest of the world to Italy. What happened there? (I don't think finger pointing should be done in any direction though. I feel horrible about what's happened there.) Seattle is pretty liberal, and we are not at all TRUMP supporters here. We hate the guy. I see people on facebook, Trump supporters who live in red states, say ridiculous things. Horrible things like "THIS IS CHINA'S FAULT, WE NEED TO ATTACK" etc etc. Like some people in America actually think that way. I don't see a point in blaming China. I don't think they did things right. But its not their "fault" I also don't see a point in people blaming America. I don't see a point in blaming anybody. Most of the people I ask the same question I asked you "What do you think happened in Italy?" Their answer are things like "Well they have a super high population density. It spread quickly because of that" Our biggest hit area in America right now is NEW YORK, and within NY its NYC (HUGE POPULATION DENSITY) I think this epidemic could have been minimized, but I don't think it could have been avoided. Nobody could have fully prevented this. Its the nature of this virus to an extent, the way its spreads, the period of time youre contagious, and so on. I believe that most people here in America are trying their best to fight this. I believe the world wants to fight this. Nobody wants to see this get worse.

I 110% think it's a politics kinda thing. there are for sure politics involved. Early on I was saying the same thing. But I think its somewhere in the gray area. worldwide pandemic that wasn't managed correctly - some due to greed, some due to ignorance I've also said this, lets be honest, trump isn't nearly smart enough to have been a super villain in all this. hes dumb, and he's greedy, and he puts people in danger for his own benefit. he should be held accountable for his wrong doings but I hardly think hes smart enough to orchestrate this whole thing I think some of this was inevitable. some. not all. and the percentage I'm not so sure on.

also... Dani .... I agree with your thought earlier on, a couple week ago. "if everybody could just stay home this would end in two weeks" I think it'd be a little more than two weeks, but I think the only real logical thing to do is wait it out. if not everybody stays home, it continues to spread. we can't just say, close this border and this border and its done. The virus is everywhere and if people within those borders don't follow rules, its pointless.... my hope isn't merely for a vaccine, my hope is people as a whole, as a community can slow this spread. <3

He's an asshole though, but he's just playing dumb.

I see what you're saying. and there's a lot of dumb Americans that believe any single thing he says. he played the election right. playing to peoples religious beliefs and taking advantage of a market that he knew he could exploit. he knew how to say the right words to get the right people behind him. same as the school elections "chocolate milk in the water fountains" or "BUILD A WALL" he said things that people latched on to. and im so disappointed in so much of America for agreeing with it. before the election even happened, when we knew that trump was the republican nominee, I already felt defeated at that point. I said, even if he loses, its horrible to see that so many Americans can feel that same way as him and endorse that guy. so much of America is out of whack
