1. The song is pretty different from her usual stuff with the subtle religious lyrics, more in vain of I'm Not Dead (the song) than anything else she usually writes about. It's different and interesting. 2. The Philly gospel choir and instrumental gives it quite unique sound in today's pop era. 3. Her voice actually soars incredibly (especially compared to You Get My Love) 4. It's a freaking catchy song.
A Grammy performance with the Philly choir could give the song a GITA treatment without any effort.
Why did we get Beautiful Trauma, Whatever You Want and Secrets, but not I Am Here?
Why is she or her team skipping on her best song in the past couple of years?

All opinions and questions I've had / been asking for a while, and I just don't have an answer. It's my favorite song on BT and one of her top songs overall. It's a song I have wished for the longest time.
Oh well. She must have her reasons. Still hoping it will be performed at the Grammys with a choir but I'm not holding my breath.

could it be because a choir plays a big part of the song and it would be harder and probably more expensive to tour with a whole choir??

Her team is stupid (girls).
One of the critiques she faces is that her music is repetitive (So What, RYG, etc.) and here she has this indie (I can't believe that's P!nk!) hit on her hands. It would be used in movies, TV shows, etc. but no, she releases BT, Whatever You Want (??!! what's up with that) instead.

Watching the Apple Music documentary again, and having goosebumps at the end with IAH.
Imagine an extended performance with the choir going "mmmm mmmmm mmmm" acapella and then in the background are political messages (What About Us tour) black lives matter, etc.
Whew.

You're all probably right but we'll never know... I'm missing the Q&A's she used to do and we'd ask her a whole gazillion random questions. It's been a while

Maybe cause of Mumford and Sons feel to it? She doesn’t want to be told she’s copying their sound?
We all know now they don’t really take risks with P!nk unless it seems guaranteed ala Just Give Me a Reason.
I personally think it’s a good song, but I don’t hear a smash like others do. I think Where We Go would have a better chance.

Sometimes the gamble pays off, but I can see where I Am Here would be a bit of a risk. Personally, I love that IAH feels like an unapologetic, empowering declaration, but I can see where it wouldn’t click with the overall top 40 audience. WWG hits me the same way, but I think it can apply to a relationship as well, which would probably help with mass appeal. 🤷🏼♀️

And a lot of persons say that Where we go sounds like "Your bones" from Of monsters and Men Personally I think that the vibes of these 2 songs are completely different, I don't know.
I am Here and Where we go are so good. They should give them a chance.

But yah, I do hear what they mean but it’s not thaaaaat alike.

I am Here and Where we go are so good. They should give them a chance. If you speed up the OMAM song you'll get Where We Go's chorus. It's basically the same in a way that she would have a major case with it if it becomes a single.

I think Where We Go would have a better chance. Well, I don't really care if it's a smash or not. Since it was clear that she won't have a hit song after WAU, releasing IAH wouldn't have been risk. A risk is when you have something to lose, but it was clear that this era was going nowhere singles-wise, so it would have not mattered if they release another same old P!nk single (yes, you, Whatever You Want) or try to have hit with Secrets, OR release something more interesting to her artistic image, and not for TOP40 numbers and dated formulas. It would have not changed anything, but it might have had a chance for getting somewhere since it's kind of different in her singlegraphy and the current music scene. It's the type of song that movies and TV series would play, and would be featured in talent shows.

Am I the only one still thinking what kind of a difference it would have made if Revenge was released?
I mean, obviously it wasn’t meant to happen, so all good. Or?

It's the type of song that movies and TV series would play, and would be featured in talent shows. what I mean is, they won’t risk putting out a risky single if they believe it’s going to ruin her singles run of hits, or be a waste of money. They didn’t release Secrets in the US for that very reason, due BT flopping, then WYW got released only to Hot AC - her core format on radio and ditched Pop radio, and I’m not sure if it reached the top 10 or top 5 which is usually a lock for her on HAC; Secrets definitely had a shot. They look at more factors than just releasing a song, they have to put money out for it...and time. She’s not a new artist where they’re going to just throw stuff out there and see if it sticks, she’s not a young artist anymore with a fresh slate...u dont want to release too much stuff if it looks likely it’ll go no where, they’ll usually end up move on to a new project. Exactly why WYW got a video montage and Secrets got a low budget....and no promotion for those singles either.
