Well, I don't really care if it's a smash or not. Since it was clear that she won't have a hit song after WAU, releasing IAH wouldn't have been risk. A risk is when you have something to lose, but it was clear that this era was going nowhere singles-wise, so it would have not mattered if they release another same old P!nk single (yes, you, Whatever You Want) or try to have hit with Secrets, OR release something more interesting to her artistic image, and not for TOP40 numbers and dated formulas. It would have not changed anything, but it might have had a chance for getting somewhere since it's kind of different in her singlegraphy and the current music scene. It's the type of song that movies and TV series would play, and would be featured in talent shows. what I mean is, they won’t risk putting out a risky single if they believe it’s going to ruin her singles run of hits, or be a waste of money. They didn’t release Secrets in the US for that very reason, due BT flopping, then WYW got released only to Hot AC - her core format on radio and ditched Pop radio, and I’m not sure if it reached the top 10 or top 5 which is usually a lock for her on HAC; Secrets definitely had a shot. They look at more factors than just releasing a song, they have to put money out for it...and time. She’s not a new artist where they’re going to just throw stuff out there and see if it sticks, she’s not a young artist anymore with a fresh slate...u dont want to release too much stuff if it looks likely it’ll go no where, they’ll usually end up move on to a new project. Exactly why WYW got a video montage and Secrets got a low budget....and no promotion for those singles either. We don't disagree. I'm just saying that if an era with its singles clearly going nowhere, they could at least give some other songs the chance besides the safe choices. They wouldn't lose anything.

I MEAN!!!!!!!!! THIS MIGHT BE ONE OF HER VERY BEST SONG AND IT KNOCKS LIVE. Why was it not a single? Because most likely other people wouldn't like it as much as we do It's like all her other single choices too, they're a safe card. I wish she could take a risk and pick them emotional songs with some depth for once

She has taken risks. Dear Mr President. Nobody Knows (radio completely shunned it in the US and Canada). Just Give Me a Reason.
There’s definitely a reason why they/she didn’t realease I Am Here. I still think part of the reason is the Mumford and Sons sound. And I don’t see people running to buy that single, that’s just me though. Also references to death, fucking, blood, the devil, etc. :/

It felt like they went with the safe options, even if I like all of these choices fairly.

I agree. I love WYW but I wish she had gone with Secrets and then promoted it. I miss the promotion/performances! 💔

In my opinion when I hear I am here I think of Madonna like a prayer.

Haha I Am Here is really far from Mumford and Sons. Where We Go is closer if I had to choose one. I am a big fan of them but I Am Here is nothing like their sound lbr.

I mean, P!nk herself said in that radio interview promoting BT that Where We Go was her Mumford and Sons song and that she had them in mind when she recorded it. The radio interviewer was amazed by the similarities. Maybe that's why she decided to not even sing it live, let alone release it as a single? To not get sued over plagiarism claims? Idk... Also, there's a Nelly Furtado song that is similar to Where We Go lol

Anyway, I still have this sick hope that she'll have a surprise performance at the Grammys of I Am Here and that she'll win her category ✊
