Can you explain, cause all he says when I ask 'why not' he answers 'because' ...? Well, I can't explain his opinion, 'cause I don't know it, but imo all tattoos do is detroying beauty, and tattoo sleeves destroy a large area of beautiful perfection at once and just look awful. Always breaks my heart to see women doing that to themselves. But that's me, I'm fucking boring. I can understand your explanation But what if my arm isn't just beautiful perfection ... 🤔

I can understand your explanation But what if my arm isn't just beautiful perfection ... 🤔 Well, it for sure won't look better with a tattoo sleeve. that's not really for you to decide. people get tattoos because they like it on themselves and want to appeal to nobody else but themselves. tattoos are part of your personality and the way of self expression. this way i could say "short hair is not beautiful because the real beauty is long hair" or "blonde hair is not beautiful because the real beauty is brown hair" and so on and that wouldn't really be nice, right? so i find you being so vocally against tattoos is a bit disturbing and i don't think you have the right to tell Iris that she "won't look better with a tattoo". and i mean, i don't know, you're probably going to say it's just your opinion. i just find it extremely rude and ignorant to tell someone you barely know that they will ruin their looks with this or that. i think it is typically the case of if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all (and normally i am a great supporter of always speaking your mind).

Well, I didn't decide anything, I just gave my honest opinion 'cause Iris asked me. And she will and she should do what makes her happy, not me. So whatever her decision will be, it has to be respected, I know I will. People have different opinions, but that doesn't mean I have to agree with it, we can respectfully disagree, but I've the same right to post my opinion here that Iris has, that you have, just like anybody else. I hope this will be a place where we can talk about everything and voice different opinions and still be good?

Just saw your edited post, and I've to say I've to disagree, besides that Iris asked me, I think it's always good to hear different opinions to see a different perspective of the same issue. What's made regarding that opinion is in each individuals personal responsibility, but people shouldn't lose the ability to talk to each other even if they have different opinions, what happens then is what you can see in the USA, and that is - I hope you agree - not good.

You giving your opinion about someone's appearance will in no way change the world for the better or worse. That is why i always say "you do you". Even if that person feels comfortable in a totally different appearance than i would, the way they look has nothing to do with their personality. So basically criticising someone for their tattoos or hair colour or weight or fake nails or whatever is just pointless and tbh a bit smug or self-righteous.

But here's the difference, Iris actually asked about his opinion. And he said what he thought. There's nothing wrong with that. I asked people if I should cut my hair or keep it long. Some said cut it, suits you sooo much better. Some said, keep it, I like long better, short hair is ugly. It's all personal. And someone's opinion about short hair being ugly is their opinion and has nothing to do with me, nor should I take it personally. What I do in the end with my hair, is up to me I asked for opinions, not validation. Just like Iris did here.

That's what i meant.

Just like Iris did here. umm actually technically she didn't ask for anybody's opinion, he gave it without being asked. It doesn't really matter in the end because Iris did ask him for clarification but it kinda bothers me that everyone forgot this. Anyway i can still not understand people who say things like "short hair is ugly". Why be unnecessarily mean when the world is full of crap anyway? You can just say "i wouldn't do it for myself" or "i personally don't like it" but saying things like that is just beyond my understanding. Any kind of remark towards anyone's appearance. And i am not saying i'm not guilty of it sometimes but i do think the world would be a better place if we all learned to be a bit nicer and less judgmental sometimes
