Uhh i dunno guys. I’m in a pessimistic wave right now and i feel like we won’t get something new for a long while. Also for now i dont see her art taking a turn. This album in retrospect just feels like something released for the sake of touring. It feels like she enjoys touring and obviously earns a shitton of money with it and there is no need to put any effort in being creative, inspired or even bold or surprising. It sounds strange but show me an artist at her age that releases new music that is exciting, experimental or a different direction than they did before. I absolutely think she has it in herself and is capable of anything, but she just doesn’t care so much about a new album anymore or being critically acclaimed because she knows her tour will be super successful either way. It might also be because she’s happy and she is much better at putting pain and more raw emotions into writing.
But this is just how i see it right now.

Would actually like one before she comes back around in the Summer, so the concerts have some variation over the original leg. Trying to determine if I want to plunk down a lot of money to see a show and it would make the decision easier if I knew it was going to be a bit different.

Like, fuck it! Why not?  Do whatever weird shit is going on creatively in your head the general public will still come to see you do 2010's So What routine lol |

I've been thinking and saying this for some time now... I can't help feeling as if the 'album' has become a means to a touring end for her. I even remember her expressing something similar during a promotional interview for You+Me back in 2014; that she makes whatever 'P!nk' music will work in a tour setting and best lend itself to her performance art. She needs to throw the rule book that she has written for herself out the window. She's become kind of bound by its 'winning' formula. On the flipside, I totally understand and respect her drive to continue to kill it in the touring category ("bigger, better, faster, more"). |

I wasn't trying to dig at her touring. That's successful with the general public no matter what -- which is why I would LOVE for her to make an album without having to think about the touring aspect and just let go in the studio and not think about it being a success or #1 or whatever since it wouldn't affect her touring numbers anyhow. Just let magic happen ... But I guess I'm in the minority I am more of an "album-guy" than "tour-guy" Regarding the Vegas Residency: She's been mentioning it every once in a while for the past few years. I think eventually she will do that for a number of years. Not any time soon, but I can see her in 10 years trying to lock something like that down. |
