Try This is the third studio album by P!nk, released on November 11, 2003. I'll always have a soft spot for this album, given its harder rock sound and free spirit on most tracks. Although it didn't commercially perform as well as expected, I think it's what solidified her as a 'rock star'. What were your personal highlights (and lowlights, perhaps) of this album and era?

By the way, does anyone have a copy of the rare track-by-track audio interview she gave for this album? Edit: I dug deep into my old files and found it. Click here to download it before the link expires! I couldn't find mention of it anywhere else online, so it's pretty rare. Someone with audio editing skills might like to clean up all the static and bits of silence for us? Find out which songs she recorded in her then new house, which song was supposed to take the place of Walk Away, and which one was inspired by this Joe Strummer song... Those who bother to like this post or reply with a 'thanks' are very welcome in advance, but those who download it without acknowledgment can kiss my perky ass.

I was 12 when Try This came out and for me it was what brought me back to P!nk (after M!ssundaztood came out) and made me an even bigger fan. I loved the rawness, her vocals and the lyrics.

I LOVE this album so damn much and it's a shame it didn't do really well. Though that does make it even more special, so that's nice.
One day I hope she'll reward the fans that've always been there for her by making music that's as far away from the commercial stuff she does lately as possible.
One can hope.
Still wouldn't wanna have missed songs like Try, What About Us and Trustfall, so it's not all bad of course, but damn I want music from her that's more rock and less pop.

Remember the time that sweet Britney Spears took her Try This CD out for a walk?

We need to start a social media campaign to get Free and Delirium up on Spotify, dammit!

Oh, you already know! It's one of her best records (for me personally anyways)! Free ALONE puts so many songs to shame IMO

Tragic, indeed. This album was so well produced too. You can hear the different layers. How is it that a 2003 record can sound better than her recent songs like Walk Me Home or All I Know So Far, which sound so garbled and muffled like they're recorded on a phone.

The whole thing sounds very muffled or airy. Apparently it was meant to be a 360-degree spatial thing?
