I already love it, but I sometimes slip into this fantasy world where Linda's idea of TT being an entire sort of concept album of epics that had the Waiting For Love vibe all over it is reality I mean..... I MEAN!!! How awesome and ambitious a record that could have been?!

By the way, does anyone have a copy of the rare track-by-track audio interview she gave for this album? Edit: I dug deep into my old files and found it. Click here to download it before the link expires! I couldn't find mention of it anywhere else online, so it's pretty rare. Someone with audio editing skills might like to clean up all the static and bits of silence for us? Find out which songs she recorded in her then new house, which song was supposed to take the place of Walk Away, and which one was inspired by this Joe Strummer song... Those who bother to like this post or reply with a 'thanks' are very welcome in advance, but those who download it without acknowledgment can kiss my perky ass. Thank you very much! Try This is one of my favorites. I really wanted a Try This 2, I miss this P!nk.

Try This is the third studio album by P!nk, released on November 11, 2003. I'll always have a soft spot for this album, given its harder rock sound and free spirit on most tracks. Although it didn't commercially perform as well as expected, I think it's what solidified her as a 'rock star'. What were your personal highlights (and lowlights, perhaps) of this album and era? Can I share this with other fans?

I MEAN!!! How awesome and ambitious a record that could have been?! Totally. I never understood Linda's disdain for P!nk moving in a garage rock direction though. It felt like a natural evolution. I loved learning from that audio interview that she recorded Waiting For Love and Free in her home. Seriously, how do we best start a campaign to get Free and Delirium up on Spotify?

According to that interview from years ago, Linda was like "sure, you do you. Make your TT album that your record label rushes you to do. I'll be back when you wanna do epics and go into a direction that is not expected of you but that is still SO YOU". But she felt obligated to be on TT cause P!nk asked her to, even though her gutfeeling was like "don't do it". I love the garage rock thing though as well... Humble Neighborhoods is one of my absolute favorites! Save My Life as well!... The entire album is a banger -- except for maybe Tonight's The Night... it's mindless, scream-your-lungs-out fun and I adore the instrumental, but it's more of a B-side IMO. Free and Delirium should have been on the main record! I am not on Spotify but YES! Especially Free should be out for the masses. To me, it's quintessential P!nk (or at least back-then-P!nk lol)

We tend to forget that back then a lot of people were trying to control her creative direction. That's why she went to do M!ss after CTMH, then Linda tried to do the same (even if it would have been an epic album) when she was working with her after M!ss. Obviously she went against it and thank God she did, because it flowed and flowered into I'm Not Dead.

Humble Neighborhoods is one of my absolute favorites! Same, and it's unlike any other track in her discography. I also love Try Too Hard, which fleshes out the album title concept. Humble Neighborhoods would be perfect for the Dumbass Derelict From Doylestown act in the future musical of her life, haha! As she says in that audio interview, the song is about her experience as a youth, not fitting in, causing trouble, etc.

I missed the link before it expired. Can anyone share with me the track by track commentary?
