My first memories of P!nk was watching There You Go's music video on MTV in February 2000.

I didnt know about her til 2002 tbh. I was 11 and was in Primary 6 [im in the UK, dont know what the US equivalent is to that]. It was the end of the term before summer and the teacher threw us a party and kids brought in CDs and one girl in my class brought in M!ssundaztood. I listened and thought omg i love it. Then not long after, her 2002 concert in Scala aired on TV and i remember it was on at 10 past midnight lol. and\ i begged my mum to let me stay up and she said right its the summer holidays, fine. So i watched it and just fell in love with her. Then my mum and dad started to realise i was getting really into her so think my mum bought me M!ssundaztood first and when i told her i loved it and i then found out about CMTH, she bought me that as well. and the rest is history. Been a fan for 21 years now!

When she released an album, I dedicated that whole week to her (album). I remember CTMH's release week in April 2000. It was released at Xtina and Britney's peak so I fell in love with P!nk('s music) because she had a different style compared to Xtina and Britney: she's so rebellious, so tough, so unique.

I was 18 in 2000 when a friend of mine was playing 'There you go'. In that time MTV was still pretty popular, so I looked for videos and more songs of her.
But I was totally hooked after the release of 'Family portret.

I'm Genz so I didn't get into her until her greatest hits came out. My mom would play it in the car and I got attached, and then TTAL came and she played that. I loved it. One of my fondest memories is sitting on the couch when I was younger and watching the 2012 itunes performance. If I had a time machine, I'd go to that concert.

there you go music video, I wanted to be like her, wanted pink hair too. I always had short hair but I cut it as short as her. I was 13/14 years old way back when 😂 If I see this video and the most girls video I go way back in my memories, she was such a good role model for me..to stand up for myself. tho I wished that we had internet like we have now..I only saw her on the tfm channel and mtv,if I could have seen more like interviews ect i’m sure my life would be different..but hey I turned out oke 🤣

Back in 2000 in order to listen to her music, I had to go to the store to buy her CD or wait until her music videos got played on MTV. But the monoculture of the 2000s is definitely more entertaining than the streaming era nowadays. Nowadays the music industry is over-saturated and nothing feels big because everyone just listens to what they like on Spotify. Back in 2000s, P!nk + Britney + Xtina ruled the music industry.

Seeing the video for DLMGM and instantly becoming a fan because she wasn’t like Britney or Xtina or anyone else at that time. Nowadays it’s “cool” to shit on her for saying she was better - but it’s true 😂

My first memory was There You Go, the video, back in 2000. I thought she was captivating, but that the song sounded like a TLC reject.
Nonetheless, I liked the song enough to buy the single and then the album (with the special clear pink plastic spine/CD tray!).
When I first heard Split Personality I was salivating, and by the end of the album I was completely and utterly hooked.

It was in 2006. During our IT class at primary school, we always had 10 minutes of free time at the end of each lesson to browse the net. We did not have internet back home at that time. One of my classmates had a crush on her so he kept replaying the Trouble music video, then the Stupid Girls video. I remember thinking "wow she's SO COOL". Then it was the time when U+Ur Hand was getting massive airplay on MTV, and I kept running up the stairs at home to see the music video when the first beats have started. Then there was no stopping.

I remember being sad at how underrated she was because she was/is better than Xtina and Britney.

Then I remember after some time that Most girls was released and I kept thinking she’s still as cool, it wasn’t just that one video … and that’s how it all started

She played the long game and eventually surpassed them in many ways. 1) hi bro! I'm 43. Most of her fans are in their 40s. 2) 2013 is a pivotal year. Britney's career was over with Britney Jean's flopping. Xtina's Lotus had flopped miserably a year prior. P!nk was having a global smash hit with JGMAR and gained a big adult contemporary audience and had a successful world tour. P!nk left Xtina in the dust with Funhouse era and left Britney in the dust with The Truth About Love era.
