But suppose her music career is massively successful, she tours every few years and she has a successful wine making business so she doesnt really need to go into acting |

Man, i would LOVE if she snapped up a major role in a movie or a show. I know not many people love this movie, but I very much enjoyed Catacombs and she was so natural and fun in it... and super CatchUNextTuesday-y  loved it! And of course Thanks For Sharing... she hit it right out the park with the very first scene she was in. That was so good! But like Danielle said, she has a family and a wine business and making movies and shows is highly time-consuming. Plus her upcoming tour and all... I remember back in the day how she was slated to play Janis Joplin in a biopic and that The One That Got Away was basically her audition tape for the role (and of course she got it), but then there were so many things happening behind the scenes of the production company that conflicted with her schedule that she had to drop out of it... and then the movie was never made anyhow... what a bummer. She would have been perfect. |

A two-hour show, where she can have them backstage/in the audience with Carey etc., with a large amount of freedom the rest of the time, is nothing compared to a 12-hour shooting day, where she’s not in control. Child actors are a completely different scenario. Edit: I’m not saying touring is easier in general, far from it, but it definitely fits the family dynamic that she has spoken about needing more. |

Hmm depends. The kids don’t wanna leave home and their friends, and recording movies is somewhat nearby compared to an Australian tour lol |

I didn't like the Janis movie idea before, but now that there are so many fantastic movies (Freddie Mercury, Judie) that have garnered acclaim, I'd like her to do one. And she would kill the songs.
