Does anyone else now think we're not getting a new album this year? a couple of weeks ago i was sure we were but now i really dont think we are. i know she has teased a new song but even that has gone quiet and its now mid October almost and still no word. Thats late for pink. And this tour is weird timing wise and locations are weird. shes just doing england , no ireland, wales or scotland. im sure if this tour was supporting a new album, she would be going all over the UK like she normally does. To me, the tour looks like just a warm up tour
Am i being too optimistic? I know i might sound selfish but im now hoping she doesnt release a new album just before the tour and the tour isnt in support of an album because if it is, that means i wont see her for another 3 or 4 years. im hoping it is a warm up tour and she properly does a world tour in 2024-2025 and does all over the UK. This tour does seem to be just a 'warm up' tour now i think about it

I guess the new single that she filmed a video for like a month ago will be like a companion piece serving as promo for the Summer Carnival 2023 tour to get people all buzzed and hyped, and probably not for a new album. Otherwise the tour would be named after the album, I think.
So yeah, maybe no new album until late 2023, early 2024. But with the inconsistency in releases, album/single drops, etc. nowadays, who knows what's gonna happen.

The name of the tour is very general, and weirdly nothing new because her 2010 summer tour [which i saw in Glasgow!] was called The Funhouse Summer Carnival Tour. so its the same name without Funhouse in it. i found that odd as well

Now THAT was a fantastic, fantastic, fantastic show!!

I don’t really know what I'm talking about, and I’m sure Pink is not hurting for cash, but the cost of touring has really hit artists hard. I have heard of several lesser known artists who have flat out cancelled tours right in the middle of them.
Think about it. Once streaming became so popular, touring was the bread and butter for artists. Then COVID hit, now a horrible economy everywhere, and artists need to once again figure out a new way to support themselves.
I believe that’s why festivals and larger venues are so attractive. I don’t know what the future of live music will be, but I think we are witnessing artists trying to figure it out. I feel sorry for them because of the seismic changes they have had to endure over the past decade or so.

Her friend commented on the NGNDA teaser saying "I can't wait for the world to hear this album!" so I think it's coming!

But the musicians, dancers, roadies, BACKUP SINGERS do. I’m sure Pink’s own bank account is safe.

I’ve heard that a new record is coming. I have a friend of a friend and the confirmed there is new P!nk coming very soon (in addition to NGNDA.) I hope they’re right!
What throws me off is this Summer Carnival tour. Seems so random and like a makeup sesh because they were going to do it either this past summer or last year (can’t remember) but didn’t due to Covid. How a new record gets in that mix, I have no freakin idea.
Guess we’ll see!
