i thought this would be a topic on here that i would be interested to hear people's views on. Last night on facebook i was reading comments on her page and there was comments about her giving the middle finger on the artwork and swearing and is that what she teaches her kids etc. and it made me think and i actually replied to someone this, is it because shes a woman and a mother?. Because theres rappers like Eminem who are fathers who swear constantly in their songs, if you listen to a Eminem album its 50x more explicit than P!nk but no one has ever said thats disgraceful hes a father. so why do people expect pink to change? is it her age, is it because shes a woman? .
i feel like im in the minority of fans who dont want pink to water down. Like, i noticed when BT came out everyone seemed to hate Revenge, and i couldnt help think if she released that song in her 20s when she had no kids, everyone would love it. i might be wrong, i'd love to hear everyone's opinions. But i feel like because she was late 30s with 2 kids everyone hates it because its a funny taking the mick song. i dont want pink to become Celine Dion [not hating on Celine, shes amazing] and sing soppy love songs. i like her rebellious songs like Irrelevant and Revenge, as well as i also love her meaningful deep songs like Happy, Crystal Ball etc
i dunno, im interested to hear what people think on here

And also pink has said for years her music isnt aimed at kids anyway

Oh really🙄 Well, I have 12-year old who loves her music. And I explained her why I love her so much. P!nk stands for certain values I try to teach both my kids: stand up for what you believe in, defend the ones who are bullied and just be who you are.
I still don't get it why she is so underrated, why people still feel like they should attack her and tell her what to do. It's because she has such a strong personality, isn't it?
She and Carey are raising beautiful kids who will know something about what's going on in the world.
Just ignore those who say she should change. I think it's why most of us love her so much. 🤷♀️

I live my life, you live yours. I will raise my kids like I think it's best and if I need advice I'll ask. Saying that because been there.

Do you let her listen to even her more explicit songs?. like Slut Like You / Revenge. i always find even them songs there are a message behind them [well maybe not Revenge] i remember my mum saying to me when i got into pink when i was only 11, she was only in the M!ssundaztood era. she said to me even though she was a bit of a rebel and swore a bit in her songs, she liked her because there was always a message behind the song that she thought was a good message

I remember when she was younger the only English word she knew was 'fuck'. We're Belgian and speak Dutch. She was always saying then: mummy, she says a bad word, right. Now she's older, she understands English pretty well but I also try to explain to her the meaning behind the songs. And then she knows why the 'fucks' are there. Now I think about it. It's pretty hypocrite of people saying that because have you seen what's on tv lately for kids / teenagers. It's not that all what's said there is so good. I mean p!nk still brings a message. I'm happy I introduced my kids into her music but I also introduced them to the person and what she stands for. My daughter can't wait for the next tour. I promised her she can come with me then.

When i heard her song WAP and saw the music video, my jaw dropped. and people go after pink for a F word and a middle finger?

Here no songs are censured really, not on radio or tv or anywhere, so a cuss word here and there will still make them people some day lol. Also we grown ups use cuss words in every other sentence lol

Also we grown ups use cuss words in every other sentence lol i think thats the way to go. like i said when i was 11 i got into pink and eminem. and the deal with my mum and dad was yes i could listen to them and they bought me their albums, but they made it very clear to me if they heard from my school i was repeating the words or i did at home unless i was singing the song, then all the cds would be confiscated. my mum was also smart because when Eminems film 8 mile was released i really wanted to see it but it was a 15 and i was only 11. and my mum said to me right obviously i couldnt go to the cinema to see it because they wouldnt let me in. but at the time i was having a bad time at school where i didnt wanna go to school and kick off in the mornings to the point where my mum gave up and let me stay off. so my mum said to me right u wanna see 8 mile when it comes out on DVD? Right well its a 15 so you need to show me you're mature enough for me to buy you it and let you watch it which means going to school everyday without any hassle and behaving at school. so she used that as a incentive because she said to me well if you're not mature enough to go to school, you're not mature enough to watch eminem's new movie. so my mum actually used it to curb my behaviour which i think was smart of her

But they are educated and know that this are not the words you use at school for example.

lol. All this post makes me think is this: If you think she’s a wild child now, shoulda seen her in the mid 2000s 🤣 What is wrong with people? Why go after Alecia when there are actual issues going on out there in the world.
It just seems so petty and small in the grand scheme of things.
