Sorry to be like this. But..... I hate Trump same as the rest of you.... And I know the US hasn’t been dealing with the outbreak 100% as good as it could have. But.... I was looking at numbers, and it doesn’t seem like the US is that far off compared to some other European countries.... Given, the population size of their country to number of people infected to mortality rate of those infected. Yes Trump is horrible. But this Coronavirus thread, seems like it’s kinda turning into a bash trump / america thread. It’s wearing on me a little Yes, speak your mind - there is so much about America in here and it’s making me physically nauseous. Sorry to say that. Our first responders and our regular citizens are working hard. People are isolating, Nurses and doctors are literally giving their lives to fight this. We as a country are working hard, Even if our leader is not..... This will get better. I just had to let that out.

Do you have to read it all Jeff? I just scroll whenever I see Trump cause I can't stand to waste any more energy on him (as an example).

The lack of testing in the US is a huge problem regarding those numbers. 🤷♂️

The lack of testing in the US is a huge problem regarding those numbers. 🤷♂️ But the death toll is still what it is. And like I said, mortality rate here is similar to other countries as well. So, even if we had more tests, and more people tested positive, the number of dead would remain the same. That would actually lower the mortality rate. That’s why I’m kinda lost here. Explain it to me. And yes 100% I agree there should be more tests. But I mean, are other countries testing that much more percentage of the population? I’m not trying to argue, I’m just asking?

Tests are essential, without testing infected remain undetected and won't get quarantined, thus infect others. This leads to more deaths that could be avoided. And more testing could indeed lower the mortality rate:

I have agreed that testing is essential. But like I said, Containment isnt happening / isn’t fully possible. Social distancing is working in the states that are doing it right. Washington State is a great example.... the curve is flattening. Tests are happening - not at the rate they should, but again I’d like to see who is doing it right... It’s hard for everybody. No country has solved this.... Can you please give me an example of countries that are doing better with testing? Because I really am lost. Also, graphs can be arranged in certain ways and be misleading. Just overlaying countries with different population sizes that are on different timelines doesn’t make sense to me. This is not all happening in unison. I’m not trying to fight I’m just lost? And still this doesn’t answer about total population of country vs total number of deaths 🤷🏻♀️
