Actually I think it's good that they stopped testing everyone with matching symptoms. They need to stay home if they are not in the risk groups, because hospitals are not enough as it is now and need to prioritzing the risk groups. For her, unless she's one of them, it's like any other flu. I agree with you, but numbers ARE important in a sense, many people all over the US are saying things like "There's only 2 cases in my town, so why do we have to worry. Its less than the flu. blah blah blah". Numbers are important to getting people to play along, because right now many many places are not taking it seriously. The whole world needs to be on the same page. numbers are important for charting and planning. and being able to say "look here we are, but we will be x times worse if we don't take action" I dunno. I just don't see this working if not everybody can work together, and people right now, at least in the USA are not thinking as a whole. Businesses are trying to find alternate ways to stay open, which is putting more at risk. they are people who show no symptoms that may also be infected, people that will be fine, but could be infecting others, and letting the virus spread exponentially. there are businesses requiring staff members to still work, employees who could be sick and not know it. so here we have this girl, who may have been in contact with however many people who have been in contact with other people. and we have this girl, who can't get tested... There should be a way to test more people, its kinda shocking. and like the initial post from DrNick, international flights and check ins with zero testing. its so mismanaged right now. I am happy though that the tribal Indian casinos around here are deciding to close, because technically they don't have to follow state laws and could stay open if they wanted. I agree, but when you have to choose between counting and saving lives then it’s obvious what needs to be prio. People need information. Especially when experts have already said count on 75% of a country’s population to be infected when this thing ends.

Here we still have the 500 people restriction and bars and restaurants are still open. But they’re empty. Our government spent 75 million Swedish EXTRA beside all the other information (which to me is insane since our hospitals need the money more) but it helps people to take it more seriously and literally stay away from any crowds, and not for their own sake.

I just think many Americans aren't listening and we are so divided as to how to handle it all.... keep in mind America elected Trump 🤮 so many idiots out here, making it worse for everybody... lets protect those at risk. which is why I'm staying home. and like I said, im so bored and blah blah blah mom wants me to come by but I refuse. I don't want to get her sick or get anybody sick for that matter. STAY HOME

I wish people would understand.. as so many have said: hopefully we look back and say "we over reacted" because the alternative is "we didn't do enough"

Where I live, almost everything is closed. Except the liquor stores and cannabis stores..😒
Today, an 85 years old man was in the liquor store, the one really closed to my house. Suddenly, the man began to cough a lot and spit in front of the employees and customers. He was in respiratory distress, disoriented, dizzy. They closed the store for 24 hours, and all those who were there must be put in quarantine.
I wasn't there. I heard it on radio. They also said that ALL the customers were elderly people.
WTF !!!

This. Not joking if they are the only people I see anywhere I go (when I really have to go). We were outside for a walk on this island last weekend and all I saw was elderly people. We went to the store, elderly people. Everywhere. It’s like they don’t give a fuck.
