Horsens was originally our last show. And somehow even if we had added Den Haag this felt like the last show when I woke up in the morning (I think I hadn't really processed the fact that we booked Den Haag and that we were going to Amsterdam).
We landed at the airport called Billund. It was one hour from Horsens, and it made most sense to fly there since it was cheaper than Aarhus - in the middle of the street. What we didn't know was that Uber didn't exist and that we'd have to go by bus and trains to get there. It took us not too long to figure things out (thank you Google!) and we arrived to Horsens in the late afternoon. As soon as we got off the train and walked down the stairs guess who we bump into? Kid Cut Up! Again, ha ha. Honestly we laughed so hard and decided to hang out in the city that evening because well, universe invited us to it. Our first hotel we stayed at was in the middle of the "city centre" where the shops and bars were. The town was P!NK'd I am not kidding you. Everywhere. Huge amazing signs with lyrics from her songs. All shops had put pink stuff in their windows and they had this huge pink cube where they would start the party with rosΓ©'s early in the morning of the show day and all other stuff. I wish P!nk had seen how excited this town was. I was so happy to be here. I mean, big cities in all honour, but this was so far the most impressive one for me. So damn cute. It felt like we were back in 2004 and she was gonna play somewhere super small. I loved it.
The day of the show we slept in until like 8 am I think, had breakfast buffet, checked out of our hotel and headed over to store to buy all necessities for queueing that day. I planned on throwing a popcorn party cause the day before we found these HUGE bags for 3 euros. It was gonna rain and maybe even thunder was gonna come by. Lol (I don't like thunders eeek!). We bought a cute little tent for 5 euros hahaha, towels, beers, cokes, waters, crisps, ponchos and what not. EVERYTHING but the popcorn. Damnit!
We walked all the way with our luggage and these bags to the venue. It wasn't that far but with all these things, and straight uphill, we took breaks on the way, haha. In the queue we met up with Rachael and her friend and hung out with them. Damn how much I miss you Rachael, you are such a positive, sweet and energetic person. I love that about you so much. We saw a couple of cool people in the queue, all pink'd up in full style pink costumes and what not. Everyone was ready to party and was super excited! We played music LOUDLY. And then the pouring rain came, but all good since we had an umbrella to put up on our tent since it was a shit tent letting water through ha ha. Too funny! Later in the afternoon Pia and her family/friends, Paul and Valeria arrived. A fan from old Shreadnet, that I saw on tour about +10 years ago came up to me and said hi. Damn nice surprise to see her face again. I also realized I'm good at names all of sudden.
About 2 pm we took a cab to our hotel to check in. We both thought we had booked a hotel at the venue but apparently it was about 25 minutes walk away. There was no hotels nearby and that one was the closest one. Not far for a regular day, but with bags and then also two ways - way too long time to waste being away from the queue. We were a bit rushed and threw on some glitter and lipstick on our faces and headed back to venue. Back there we hear the soundcheck sooooo clear and loud - and I knew it was gonna be a good ass gig soundwise.
Inside we stood in front of the catwalk with all of our friends. Shows are really the best when we're all together having fun. You guys are the best to rock out with I swear. I'm super happy that we were able to be together and that we had the best spots. Thank you universe for making this happen.
We threw a popcorn and beer party and had a "bee" (wasp) falling in to my beer and we helped it out to dry on Jeff's shirt and it started walking and was sooooo drunk, hahaha. Damn. This was Bang Bang Romeo's last show as well. I loved her cover of Creep - soooo fucking good. And by now we're friends with Kid Cut Up so he came by and chatted a bit, such a sweet guy. This venue was amazing in so many ways but ONE way - there was one place for toilets and that was fine in the beginning but closer to the show that line was HUMONGOUS. But I found a loop, twice. Somehow I always find loops. Whether it's through "do not access" doors inside a venue (seriously walked past one once and saw a handicap toilet inside so I went in and it was easy peasy) or like in Vienna someone sent me inside the venue to pee, ehhh I told them I'm a fan where's the toilet please secure this place the best way you can it's P!NK lol, and in Oslo some venue people had meeting in this room of 30 people and I got in to the toilets there. I donno if my accent does this or if everyone think I'm crew, but I'm not complaining. I'm there to pee, real quick so all good ha ha. But yeah, it's not that hard to find loops. Just don't do it if line's alright or if you're not sure what exactly you're doing. Lol. Also the mens toilets never have any lines and there's always a regular toilet where women can pee in too, so just a tip from me
The show was fantastic. The venue was small, the stage felt lower and shorter, the wind was crispy, the sound was perfect (well at least where we stood, I heard other things from fans that sat further back), the stars were in the sky, everyone was in good mood - it was ALL about the music this night. I swear in my head I paused so many moments. The show felt like a super retina ultra HD movie. Flawless. There were no signs and no one screaming for this or that, just enjoying the show to the fullest. P!nk got excited about Jeff's glitter and complimented him and then later she did a WOW and hands all over her face gesture to me too. So cute, she really wants the glitter. I remember during Just like fire she sang "You're just like FIREEEE" with big eyes and leaned over and looked at me while I'm super digging it and so into it so that was a funny moment that I remember too. Well you're the one that's just like fire, P!nk! Great great great show. I think I only took like 4-5 phots and made 2 videos. So imagine how we were feeling it!
After the show we said goodbye to everyone and went separate ways. It was a long and hard goodbye, especially with you dear Rachael and Pia that we were not gonna see anymore this tour. Jeff and I were starving and went for some food hunting. I walk up to this mini kitchen thing and ask if they have other stuff than kebab and he says no and I ask Jeff if he wants one and he does and then the guy says only cash or some Danish phone transfer thing ehmm so we were gonna walk away but the guy was so nice and handed me one kebab so I could give it to Jeff. STARVING, and we move to find me something. 20 minutes later I SWEAR it felt like that, we find this pizza place, same thing here with cash only shit. And this woman walks up to me and says she will treat me with pizza no problem. So damn sweet. So she pays for the pizza and I get a whole one sliced and I swear if I didn't finish half of it before coming in to our hotel, and our hotel was just around the corner. Haha. In the hotel we sit down in the lobby to drink coke and eat and these group of people start talking to us. They asked us how the show was and talked to us as if we were a part of it. Turns out one of the women had seen us in the hotel earlier that day and she told everyone that we were in the show with P!nk haha. Wonder if they were disappointed later when we told them we weren't. However they were sooo chatty and I was tired so told Jeff if we could move up and go to sleep lol. And we did. The next morning we slept in, had breakfast buffet (great scrambled eggs) and Jeff was gonna lead the way to the airport (I think for the first time) and while we think we have one hour in the lobby before we need to head out I start this never ending Q&A (OMG how fun was that!) and then when it's time to move somehow Jeff realizes that he confused things and we end up needing to get a cab to not miss our flight hahaha. I managed to put down the price from 150 euros to 100 euros at least, whaaa ha ha. I swear I never really care about doing that but 150 euros for a cab ride fuck that. Not doing it out of principle. However we made the flight
