Hi guys,
It's still a mess in my head and I donno which day was what etc - still trying to process it all, but I did my best to sum it up even though it's fucking long like always, ha ha.
On Saturday for the first Wembley show we got to the queue 6.30 am ish after I received about 10 different text messages about being late! I had told everyone from Shreadnet that P!nk's camera documentary guy wanted to meet up and do some footage of us in the morning. I'm always late I'm sorry but we had to do some chair and pillow shopping first He came by later and was the nicest ever, so professional but yet so kind and amazed by all of us. I remember I said some things and the day after I just felt like it was nowhere near enough. It's hard to talk about someone so important to you, and put it down in a few words without any preparation. I also talked to a pole when he recorded my interview, so that was a new experience too, ha ha. Whatever they end up using that we did, I'm sure it'll be good.
And seriously the best queueing days ever at Wembley. We had so much fun. So many of us old skoolers were there and it felt like the old days, except we all are old and felt more sore quicker. And we don't drink as much as we did back in the days (most of us didn't drink at all!), ha ha. I think we were about 20-25 Shreadnet people. So happy to have grown up with you all. I did the takeover on Pinkiesfamily and it took me like one hour to log in because technology, but once I was in I captured the feeling of these days on there, so check it out.
Saturday was MADLY hot though and after 12 hours in line with sun screen, water sprays and litres and litres of water, we finally got to go in. Turned out it was a plain disaster. Two of our friends got serious injuries. And they sent us all that had queued the longest, to the wrong gate. Everyone behind us got in before us. So bad. We ended up at the spot we were aiming for anyway and about 10 of us got to stand next to each other and rock out. We stood in the left corner between end of catwalk and the catwalk (if that makes sense). This spot felt like being on stage once the seats got filled up. The rest of our friends were catwalk middle. The place was massive and it was crazy to see so many people.
Kid cup up is really my favorite - I absolutely love this guy, and all of the songs he plays and the remixes just get me in such a good happy mood. LOVE. Bang bang romeo was good and Vance Roy has one or two songs that are nice. I mean, he's good but not sure if the sound fits on a stadium tour.
P!nk came on 8.40 pm ish and was amazing like always. It was so good to see her again. She was in a great mood. My favorite performances are definitely 90 days, I am here and River. Love Walk me home acoustic a lot and Can we pretend and Hustle as well. I had the camera stuck up on my face during River and Hustle. Lord help my soul. It was soooooo good to hear River again that I cried. In fact I cried during What about us too, Fucking perfect, and So what (because it was soooo high and made me worried). Probably Who knew as well. And For now. And Just like fire. So random. But I guess it was just the whole thing with, ok now I'm crying again by writing this, us all oldies being there together watching her coming such long way after so many years, and then her performing in front of so many people, knowing how her music has changed so many people's lives. It just felt very beautiful to me all of it. A proud moment. I tweeted it after the show and she saw my tweet and liked it. That's all I needed <3
I brought t-shirts to her and the kids that said mama and mini, and they were kinda rockish, stonewashed a little bit ac/dc ish. Was unsure if I should have given it to her at Wembley since it was being recorded but other people threw her stuff so I did at the same time and she took em and said thanks baby. I wrote a little note and said that the show in Warsaw will be a special one, so if she got it she read it you guys better get your shit together it's in two weeks, haaaa!
Day 2 we queued up about the same time after 4 hours sleep. Was just as fun but wayyy more organized. I think we complained enough the first day so they changed it for day 2. I was first in to the GC area and we were aiming for end of catwalk middle, which I thought I had picked when I sat down, but turned out later when we stood up it was waaaay on the left of the middle so I fucked up and felt super bad for my friends. Sorry! Same happened to another fan, she thought the same. However, the rest of our friends got that spot so they were happy! Ha ha. We saw everything pretty well anyway (thanks Paul for swapping spots with me so that I could see!) and we had a great gig. The cameras are in the middle of the catwalk so maybe it was for the best. Anyway gonna try to get that spot on one of the other shows. I think it's fun to try out different places. Everyone that had been to the shows earlier said that they lowered the stage BIG time - so that's great. I thought you could see very well from where we were, even if it is far away from the main stage. The heart shaped screens are great btw. Think I watched all of her performances from main stage on them. P!nk kept sharing and reposting Odai's photos and OMG was the guy the happiest. Love you come back on tour pls <3 Show was amazing like mentioned, but she got stuck during So what which made me nervous as fuck. But luckily she came down safetely.
After Wembley we slept in and packed our stuff to head over to Paris by train a bunch of us. We bought tiny wines - they had 2 for 1 for some reason so Jeff and me got the party started and it was so much fun that we were sad to have arrived that soon to Paris, ha ha. Loved travelling by train btw - just beautiful!
We stayed at this neat hotel Jeff, me and Odai and had dinners, walked around the city a little and met up with some other friends for lunch outside Moulin Rouge. I spent the evening at the Eiffel tower sharing a Two wolves wine bottle (Group song) with three of my favorite guys in the world. We sang songs and shed a few tears. OMG this was the perfect wine if you ask me and my taste buds. I absolutely love the thick, heavy and spicy wines. It smelled like my favorite wine and it tasted like my favorite wine. But better. When I tried the first sip I told Jeff check the alcohol percentage cause this shit strong. Ha ha. 14,7%. Not sure I ever had a strong wine like that. The first two glasses were yum, then shit coooold and windy and the wine got colder too, so the last little glass had a different taste, but still good. However, I'd recommend to drink it at room temperature after letting it breathe for a lil while We sang You+me songs and saw the light show at the tower and made pics and stuff that the TWW instagram account reposted. I think we all felt so much love from these few days between all of us and from and to her *cries even more*
The night before the show day we met up with some friends after dinner and played pool and had some beers. After the place closed I got this genius idea (NOT) to find a karaoke bar and we did and we raped the place by singing Bobby McGee, You+me songs and Spice girls and what not. Hahahahaha. If anyone saw my Instagram stories you heard my cracking voice now imagine that. We came back home alive, at 5 am and was supposed to sleep at least two hours, but we over slept and when we woke up we had got messages saying over 150-200 people were already in the queue. So we decided to spend the day in the city sightseeing and eating baguettes and ice creams instead. Walked around soooo much, saw all the Paris attractions, a gazillion pretty people in all fancy expensive clothes, and then ended up seeing the french P!nk stalker dude - guess where, ha ha. Seriously someone needs to tell him off for reals.
We got up in some crazy ride swing thing after finding my favorite ice cream Solero exotic and OMFG I swear I was so sick in that ride, hahaha (I am a hardcore Six flags fan and have done all the crazy rides 10 times, but that swing was too much even for me). It just kept going round and round and round.
We got to the arena and there was a gazillion people in gazillion queues, everything was a MESS, no info, shitty small signs, etc. We went and got some beers and did some merch shopping because Jesus what the fuck. Walked around to find our US friend Diane that had Early entry to say hi and reazlied they had already walked in the VIP people. The doors opened after 5 minutes and we found a new spot on the right side, front of barrier at main stage. We kept the beers coming and when Kid and the opening acts started we were literally dancing our butts off. It was the best time ever. I went to the bar and ordered 6 drinks (two each for me, Jeff and Susi) and a popcorn because then we didn't have to go again. I didn't really think that I had to carry it all through the crowd haha. But this cute chick that worked there said she'll help me so she walks out and helps me carry it all to the front. OMG these amazing french girls. Also, everyone was at the gig was super short so it was easy to see through the crowd! No heads in the way like Wembley day 1, lol.
We really felt like that this was our gig. Kid came down the stage and said hi and thanked us for the good energy and vibes. P!nk interacted a lot with us and we had sooo much fun. I swear I died when she sang one part of River and 90 days in my eyes. Sooo much fun. And all the dancers, the band, Jenny and Stacy everyone waved and was super happy. I love this spot a lot even though we saw half P!nk from where we stood unless she walked up to the end of the stage. After the show we had pizzas and hung out with the rest of the fans. I woke up even more hoarse and we spent the day at Disney. Half way through I started to feel sick so we took a nap there in the sun, hahaha. Seriously, P!nk was everywhere. As soon as we got in to the Uber, at Disneyland they played Secrets, at the Louvre square someone played Stay with me instrumental and these amazing instruments (yeah Sam Smith but we got excited) haha. The next day I woke up sick as a dog but slept it away for a couple hours. We spent the day in the Eiffel tower park with some music and the other bottle of Two wolves wine - Cab Franc. It was yum too, pretty smooth and light if you'd ask me. I'd think this one would be perfect with some foods. We had it the way it was and it went down fast, ha ha. I was happy my nose wasn't clogged yet but having a fever and drinking wine wasn't ideal lol
I am so absolutely grateful that we got a summer tour. It's been on my wish list since the last summer tour. In my opinion my favorite memories have been made during the summer tours. Fine, the stage is huge and far away and the intimate feeling is gone, blabla but just queuing up in summer time, everyone having time off work and is able to meet up, and travel around and make new memories. I donno - I absolutely am the happiest with these tours, even if the smallest shows are my favorite ones. What I am missing at this tour's shows though, is room for spontaneity. Other than that, it's pretty much perfect to me <3
