I personally think it’s a solid record. “God is a DJ” is in my top 20 P!nk songs and “Waiting for Love” is in the top 10. “Oh My God”, “Catch Me While I’m Sleeping”, “Try Too Hard”, “Humble Neighborhoods” and “Hooker” are all fantastic as well. The rest are good songs.
Sometimes I think “Trouble” is an awesome song and sometimes it’s a bit too repetitive for me.
It was the first P!nk colored vinyl I highly because I really wanted to hear what it sounded like, and to my surprise, it remains her best mastered album for vinyl. I don’t owe Can’t Take Me Home or M!ssundaztood (and obviously Hurts 2B Human) yet but I will shortly.
So yeah Try This is a solid album but every album but Can’t Take Me Home remains better, though when Try This has its highs, they are HIGH.

It’s my second favorite P!nk record. I love it because it’s, in a way, so cohesive (probably her most cohesive album to date genre-wise, after CTMH) and still manages to showcase her multi-genre talent. Also, it is her live-iest album, meaning that all songs are pretty much perfect and ready to be performed in front of huge audiences.
I love how you can hear a couple bumps in the recordings, too, as some of it was recorded in a studio in a tour bus. Just adds to the incredible vibe of the album. It’s loud, funky, rocky and still has its introspective and touching moments. The mix that we are so used from her. And her voice is fantastic on it!
Also, the Try This era gave me my probably favorite P!nk song, Free.
And I love to revisit the tour DVD that has my favorite feature from all DVDs!

ive always loved TT and never really understood why it didn't do that well and pink seems to pretend now it doesn't exist along with CTMH. I love all the songs on it. but I remember she said she felt completely uninspired when she was making it but because M!ss was a massive success, the record label put a lot of pressure on her to hurry up and release a new album. but I do think you can tell in interviews she did whilst promoting it that her heart wasn't into it in comparison to when she was promoting IND, she looked excited about IND and really into it. and it says a lot that all the tours after TT tour , the only TT song she has kept performing is Trouble

I grew apart from it.
It was my go-to record when I was angry or I got mad at someone. Trouble, Try Too Hard, Hooker, Delirium helped me when I really wanted to blow off some steam. It was rugged and dirty, unpolished and honest: something I was around 6 years ago. Since then my emotional state shifted completely so I don't find any resonance with the album anymore. But even when I loved it, I felt what I feel now as well, that the album doesn't really have a standout quality in her discography. Despite the few highlights (Waiting For Love, CMWIS, Free) it lacks organic songs and lyrics. So I totally feel what she said about TT in that Variety interview, it's how I feel about it too.
(Free is one of her best songs tho)

It took me 10 years to get into it. I enjoy it.

Listening to it takes me back to that time when it was released. It also reminds me of the tour and the following tours and shows after that when she performed Try too hard etc. I love TT. I know she said it was rushed, and maybe that’s her just saying it, because as someone mentioned it feels like the opposite; well worked through and full of emotion and depth.

I love Try This. I really really do love it actually. It has a special place in my heart as I discovered her music around 2002-2003 when I was 11 and puberty was around the corner lol. She and her music looked so different in a positive way, rocky, funky, angry, wild. Exactly what I needed. My feelings towards an album depends on my life and emotional state. Like I am in a healthy happy relationship in my life for the first time, we have been together for almost 2 years and I can't bond with love, or sad heartbreak songs at all...

The TT vinyl sounds fantastic (tbh, so does CTMH and M!ss, so you're in for a treat ), but with TT, it just... fits If you know what I mean. I am curious to hear The Last Song Of Your Life and 90 Days on vinyl! That song (90 Days) already has a TT kind of vibe to me (it sounds like something she would have done after TT if TT hadn't had flopped commercially IMO)!

We’d have to have the lyrics ready on our phones though 😂 I hope some interviewer asks her about the song again. Love to hear the stories behind the music ❤️
