oh man 🙁
but... love to her, and her heart, and to her words..... love the song, and I wouldn't have ever thought that the background was that on my own - puts a new way of thinking / feeling about it for sure. 🙁❤️

It reminded me of 'Long way to happy'. It's really sad that people feel empowered to take advantage of others, what a sick world.

That’s so sad I didn’t know she had a miscarriage when she was that young

I'm sure Beam Me Up (she said it isn't) is about her experiences like this. I'm also feeling that around rose ave. she had a miscarriage as well.
I'm so happy she has Willow and Jameson now.

Her strength is beyond admirable. I love what she stands for. I lobe how she speaks her mind. She’s an inspiration to many.
This makes my heart hurt for her.

These albums have been seeds of her life released, with every little info we get the roots get deeper. Crazy how much we know but still DON’T know the truth story with theories and such, it’s dark and she’s an incredible phenomenal strong human being for what she’s gone through but more how she has chosen to handle it and harness it to better the universe!!

Hiya, Dennis! Long time, no see. How did you find out about that police officer? This is the first time I've even heard of it, and it crushed a part of me, that I didn't know about.
Of course, Pink has always clawed her way through everything, so I know she found a way back through counseling and forcibly spilling her hurts into song. But still. This news stings ( especially because some states now want to make it a felony for a woman who has been raped to even have a choice). *sorry. angry brain right now*

Haha HIIIIIII! How are you, fellow Ariel fan :* I am not sure if it was an interview or an excerpt from his book (did he have a book out? lol), but he talked about his writing and recording experience with P!nk and how P!nk gave him her notebook with old poems in it, and some were about her being raped by a cop when she was a teenager. And that's what she wanted Long Way To Happy to be about. EDIT: oh, btw, the "he" I am talking about is Butch Walker lol

I remember that she talked about it. Was it during a BTS of a music video? Not sure. But it broke my heart just like it did reading about this miscarriage. Uh.

Wait. It could be that I saw a movie where it happened and thought of her. Man. I don’t know. I’m not sure now.

www.popmatters.com/116255-the-gospel-according-to-butch-part-2-the-performer-2496126688.htmlThe first time that [Pink & I] did the vocals to "A Long Way to Happy" -- which is a song that Alicia and I did -- it was written about her having to deal with being raped as a teenager by a cop, which was brutal for her. We had never even known each other before she expressed this to me, and I said "Well, obviously when we go into the studio it's going to be a pretty emotional time, so let's make sure the vocal goes down naturally", and sure enough she was practically in tears when she sang it, and I don't blame her. I don't think you have to subscribe to the mentality that you have to bring the person to pain to sing and give a good performance. You just got to let the song be the song and let it do the work. Some songs are meant to be taken lighter and some are not. She definitely let that one fly.
