As of now, POP/CHR radio in the US is not playing this. They stopped supporting her after Beautiful Trauma (single), it stalled, and then Whatever You Want got no play on that format. Secrets, however, went #1 on the Club Charts.

Yes, but they always spin brand new (first single) tracks early, especially from big artists.
With no play of this, her age, the stalling of BT, and complete refusual of Whatever You Want (Secrets didnt even get an impact date, they went with HAC only) doesnt give much hope to future singles.
I stand corrected, they didn’t release WYW to pop radio, just Hot AC, my guess is because they didn’t want a flop after BT did.

What's AC anyway? AC is Adult Comtemporary, meaning easy listening songs, geared more toward older adults, they play a lot of classic songs (ie Journey, Heart, etc). HAC/Hot AC, is a mix of todays music with classics (usually no hip hop or anything super aggressive). Usually 30-50 aged people listen. Hot AC is her biggest format in the states. To answer the other question; Yes, HOT AC counts, its just shes losing a lot of radio play without POP/CHR. |
