Aw. Sorry, Dani. I just got over mine ( from a cashier two weeks ago) last week.
They're no picnic. Energy level slump.

I'm itchy, cramping ( from surgery), bored, broke, and anxious. Itchy is solved by anti-itch cream. Cramping would be solved by taking Advil...but I'm sick of taking meds. I'm bored because I used to have "get up and go" and my body doesn't do that now, post-surgery. I'm broke, because I have a whole lot of medical bills, and haven't worked in two months! I'm anxious, because going back to work on Monday means re-entering the "storm of workplace drama" that I left behind while I was out for surgery, and I soooo DIDN'T LIKE that drama. I did like the paycheck, though. I'm also anxious, because I wonder just "how much" I need to trust my boyfriend. Post-surgery, what does he even "see" in me? Whatever. I'm along for this ride. I am angry at myself for not being the "same self" that I was pre- surgery. I didn't know, going into 2019, that I was going to have to live with some sort of physical pain for the rest of this whole year. I want to hit something. The thing I want to hit most is my uterus--- which would be the least helpful to me, as it has stitches in it, and it is cramping already. *eyeroll*

Meditations, by Marcus Areulius..... It’s a fun one to just pick up and read from wherever, since it’s just philosophies, and super short sections.... I’ve only ever thumbed through it.... But yah, one of the sections I saw on the plane was YOLNish

Ok here:
Even if you’re going to live three thousand more years, or ten times that, remember: you cannot lose another life than the one you’re living now, or live another one than the one you’re losing. The longest amounts to the same as the shortest. The present is the same for everyone; its loss is the same for everyone; and it should be clear that a brief instant is all that is lost. For you can’t lose either the past or the future; how could you lose what you don’t have?
Remember two things:
i. that everything has always been the same, and keeps recurring, and it makes no difference whether you see the same things recur in a hundred years or two hundred, or in an infinite period;
ii. that the longest-lived and those who will die soonest lose the same thing. The present is all that they can give up, since that is all you have, and what you do not have you cannot lose.
