Seeing as it looks like she is working on a new album, I thought this would be a fun topic. whats everyones wishlist for !8? [originally was calling this thread do's / don'ts but realised they kinda go hand in hand]
My wishlist [BTW I do love Beautiful Trauma, im not in any way dissing it
> More upbeat songs - 90% of BT is slow. kinda want the next album to be like TTAL, 90% fun, uptempo with just 2 or 3 ballads]
> More F.U. / rebellious songs
> A deluxe edition - sorry im greedy I know, but I want more than 13 songs
> A surprise collaboration - love Eminem don't get me wrong, wouldn't mind another collab with him actually but I do want her to collab with someone new

That's my main things I want
More drums. More guitar. Something acoustic. Good lyrics. Whatever is real and important for her at the time, to be honest. |

I have too many wishes and most of them probably won't come true. So, I'll just sit back and relax and let her do her thing.

Can't remember if I ever had any wishes before, besides that I wanted her to collab with Eminem  I don't know really. I'm ready for anything. I'd totally say BT 2, meaning similar sound. |

I don't know exactly what I wish.
I would like more upbeat songs too but I love her ballads so much. She speaks directly to my heart with those songs.
Maybe if she could talk to her children, and not to Carey. She has so many things to tell them, her experiences, her fears, her wishes for the future... Her speeches are so inspiring (VMA, Hollywood walk of fame). Today's young people from all around the world need to be inspired. Not a lot of artists can to that.
She reached that stage, in my opinion.

more rock...I loved her try this cd...and to be honest I really like her singing r&b...I really loved “where did the beat go”
I do like al the pop songs she has now but I feel it’s to mainstream and not unique anymore

I am ready for anything but I wish she would be a little braver regarding to music, taking more risk like she did with Try This.
As I said before less Carey, please. I would love even more personal tone,more about people, life, politics, friendship. I would love to hear her sing about let's say what is it like to be 39 years old in the music industry, or why we people struggle to connect, or if she regrets anything, looking back at her career, her choices etc.

Also, I remember telling her in that photo book we made, I want her to sing about yummy foods, wines, kids, love (positive), happy relationships, sex and other happy things because usually whatever she puts out reflects my life atm, so I'm ready for a change, haha   |
