I’m not telling them how to raise their kids but I would like to discuss this in general and hear everyone’s thoughts about it. I saw him comment about this maybe two three weeks ago or so, but I thought he was trying to be funny when he said Willow started shooting at the age of 3 and she loves holding the guns. Thoughts? http://instagram.com/p/BtQjb7eAxmb

Thoughts? http://instagr.am/p/BtQjb7eAxmb I feel like its playing with fire.... I dunno....... I don't see the purpose. He says its to teach responsible use of guns, to know how to be safe around them. I never had that kind of training, I just stay away from them. Maybe shes having fun, as he says, but I know I was able to have fun as a kid without shooting guns... Like I said, I don't understand the reasoning. I mean, maybe I don't need to understand - they arent my kids. Maybe I worry too much, But I feel like I worry with reason. I have read too many horrible stories, tragedies about children w/ guns. It just takes one quick accident. [my friends uncle does wood work, the guy had been doing it for 50 years, never had a problem. The guy was always safe, and professional, then one day about 4 years ago he cut one of his fingers off. He knew all about safety - BUT ACCIDENTS HAPPEN.] I believe Carey when he says hes doing this for a reason. I believe he is being as responsible as he thinks he can be. I believe he loves his kids more than anything. And I do believe he is a good father. I just worry. 🙁 Also, maybe part of the reason I worry is because I haven't been raised around guns - maybe I wouldnt have this fear had I been raised around them. Maybe thats it. But personally I feel safer not having a weapon anywhere near me. Blah.

I hate guns. Period.
I would never let one of my kids handle a gun. Never. It's totally unnecessary, in my opinion. These posts from Carey make me sick. For sure, he is a pro-NRA.
I wonder if Pink likes guns or if she just "tolerates".

I don’t remember him this way. But then again I never really gave much or any attention to him besides when he was with Pink on different events and things, so I can’t say much. Anyway. I agree with every word that you just said. I kind of want to understand why, but at the same time it won’t change my opinion at all even if I hear arguments pro weapon.

I don't. As far as I'm concerned guns are not toys, and shouldn't be in the hands of children. I just hope they know how to secure those guns in a way that the kids can not get them themselves.

I think it should be, even if parents are around. I donno.

I don't even know what is the regulation in my own country 🤷 I think Carey should shut the F up about that. I mean, if he wants to teach how to use weapons to his kids, that's his choice. But that's provocation to show this to everyone, knowing that a lot of persons don't approve that (and that a lot of persons lost their lives because of firearms😢). It has nothing to do with "parents police".

Remember when Pink posted this? I don't understand how it's possible to support these kids and teaching your own kids how to use guns. And this girl, Emma Gonzalez appears in her video during her show, I think. http://instagram.com/p/BfUOV_sl0nt

I think he's definitely trying to provoke... Which is pathetic... BUT, I started rifle shooting when I was about 8-9(My mom had a thing for hunters). Then went on to compete around 11. So I grew up with rifels in the house. They were locked in a safe that I didn't know or wanted to know the code for. My older sister was also competing in pistol shooting but she was an adult at the time. She said the focus and concentration it required helped her with stress. And I would agree that shooting has made me feel more relaxed and worked as almost a therapeutic tool. I don't think my upbringing around guns has had any negative influence on me as a person or any extreme views on gun control in general. I disagree with the gun laws in America but I do not disagree with children using guns/rifle's for sport in a controlled environment. There has never been a link between violence and using guns for me personally. Almost the opposite, you feel very "zen" after a shooting practice. But I think Carey posting this video is more for trying to provoke ppl rather than being a proud dad or whatever. It's become a stupid back and forward between him and the "trolls". And not doing any good for anybody.

Remember when Pink posted this? I don't understand how it's possible to support these kids and teaching your own kids how to use guns. http://instagr.am/p/BfUOV_sl0nt grrrrr..... just gun owners mentality about "their rights" to own guns.... its so fucking annoying. why should the supposed right of yours to have a gun, be more important than other peoples rights to being safe? "I have my gun to protect my family" "don't take my gun away" blah blah blah blah blah I would think that any RESPONSIBLE gun owner would be all for stricter laws on weapons - if they are good and able to properly have one, then they should have nothing to worry about Obama had this beautiful response on gun rights / safety / security etc which I'll just attach - it hits the nail on the head. ALSO, gun owners when hit with numbers, with facts, showing how many more deadly shootings happen in America love to mention that "well you can kill people with a car, lets make cars illegal" or "what about knives? you can kill people with knives?" they say that "mental health is the real problem, and not the guns" YES. 100%, mental health should be looked at. but just because that is a factor, doesnt mean that mental health is the ONLY factor. GUNS ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM TOO. Its not just one or the other. It seems like these gun peoples just like to argue. :/ (also, it is my understanding that Carey says hes pushing for stricter gun laws - if thats true, GREAT. but still in my opinion, I'd rather just see all those guns go away) but um. heres the Obama thing. I love and miss him.

I agree with him that it's good to discuss things (I initiated this thread), but the way he is doing it bugs me a little. I don't like nor dislike Carey, but I don't like the way he presents his thoughts or tries to discuss with people. It's like all edges out (what we'd say here). Also, having culture as an excuse for this or anything similar to this is, in my opinion, as sickening as using religion as an excuse to exclusive rights. Only blinded people do that.
