This won't change, unfortunately. Not when everyone behind the scenes is in-the-know and not when they all benefit from scalpers. The fact is that labels/promoters/artists make money from initial sale, and then they PROBABLY have a cut from the second sale of the same ticket. How else would you explain Ticketmaster's approx 20-25% fee on that ticket?
They don't make money off music anymore, and we literally abuse the talent with streaming, so they're abusing us back. This is where all the money is made. Nobody is queuing in front of stores at midnight waiting to pay $12.99 for an album anymore, they will just complain about a $9.99 streaming service being expensive. These are the consequences unfortunately.
