Aside from Dubai in 2007, she has never concert toured the continent. Theories?

She did go there for her Party tour. I am not sure and don't really follow numbers much, but maybe she's not as big in Asia like she's in Europe. There has to be a demand for her so that venues book her for shows or throw their names into the pool of possible tour stops. Or maybe she doesn't want to go there? This is only half-Asia (lol) but didn't she hate staying in Turkey cause they put her in a haunted hotel and she had an encounter with an angry ghost?

I too thought about the supply and demand aspect of concert tours, but it seems odd to me that an artist of her calibre either a) has a team that, aside from the Japanese edition of BT, choose to not nurture the more obvious Asian countries that other superstars tend to tour, particularly around an Australian leg or b) she just hasn't appealed enough to that part of the world, which seems silly to imagine since Katy Perry managed to sell tickets there for her Witness Tour, so surely P!nk could too. Three concert tour stops in 18 years is remarkably sparse. Oh, but then there are those poor Brazilians...

She will never tour in Asia anymore, in my opinion. And never in South America.
Abu Dhabi was probably very profitable.
But I hope I'm wrong.
Their strategy is so different for each continent. It's normal, but with global social media, we can compare. The demand is high in Europe but she will tour 2 times in US/CAN before. Must have other factors involved. Probably $$ is the most important one. Maybe her kids are the other factor.

Have I noticed? I'm Asian, so yes lol. I always tell people, I don't think she knows what an Asia is.
But it might be that she thinks she is not popular here (given that she herself has said she was an underdog for a long time in the US).

Do people buy her CDs? Is there a demand for her or are you one of very few who are fans?

I just remembered something. About four years ago I sold a whole lot of P!nk memorabilia on Ebay that I outgrew, and most of it was snapped up by some dude in Japan, so it seems there’s at least one hardcore collector in Asia, ha!

If she tours Japan and other cool cities in Asia I'll go! My only reason to go to Japan so far is to eat their sushi. I need more I can't stand big crowds but I'll try haha.

But people here are more into Korean pop these days. I think if Avril Lavigne can book the national stadium (though not necessarily sell it out) she most definitely can do so with some aerial acrobatic promo.

She’s not as popular in Asia. She tours where she’s successful, and I’m sure safety is important to her now that she has kids. Not saying Asia isn’t safe, but I’m sure safe places are a factor when picking places.

Not saying Asia isn’t safe, but I’m sure safe places are a factor when picking places. Yeah, I recall Carey posting something on Instagram when they were flying over Iran on the way to Abu Dhabi, something about it being scary or unsettling. Also, I do believe she can sell out an arena in Asia/Middle East. Most of these shows don't go based on ticket numbers, it's usually an arranged lump sum to cover costs and the performance fee. If you check Lady Gaga's tour for ARTPOP, when she came to Dubai with it, the deal was $900k regardless of amount earned according to an Emirati newspaper. Luckily for the promoter, they sold 8,500 tickets for $1,800,000. The tickets were 1.5x the price of what they were for Europe, but people still gladly paid for them. I'm still baffled at the venue they chose because it was a racecourse and they had to build the stage for it. For P!nk's show, they had an option for you to upgrade to "Golden Circle" which is just a fancy name for the first third of the floor. The upgrade fee ALONE was $120 USD, and it was packed. Even artists who aren't in the charts all the time, like Jennifer Lopez or Enrique Iglesias, they sell out arenas in the region pretty quickly because there's a thirst for live shows here AND people are happy to pay the inflated ticket prices. Jlo came to Dubai 3 times in 2 years, which is A LOT considering it's not a major market. Hell, the Backstreet Boys sold out in Dubai with 25,000 tickets earlier this year. SURELY Pink is more popular! Sooo, yeah. One off shows spaced out can really get them good money, but I'm worrying about the European tour for now and not this haha! I'm happy to fly for her, but I can't do US (26 hr flight) or Australia (29hr flight with connections).
