Lol i am reassured because these people clearly lost their minds - Lorde, Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish and Dua Lipa, 4 of the hugest names from recent years (yes they are huge because i heard of them/like them) are in the honorable mentions 😂

To be fair, Olivia is only on her second album and suffering a slump (still good numbers of course, but still kinda early to be one of the top 25 best pop stars), Dua is suffering a slump with her third album (no singles are really connecting that well), Lorde was big for two albums, but Billie is definitely right on the cusp! Next year after this album, I’m sure she’ll be there.
P!nk missing from the top 25 is an absolute crime!!!

What the actual fuck fuck! Where were they wrong though? She's a powerful pop-star, but her name definitely doesn't have the same type of head-turning reaction as others. As unfortunate as it is, they might be right. I mean she's had three #1's, the last one being over a decade ago. I love her, I think she's underrated, and I wish she could be in top 25, but I understand why she's not. |

However i don’t even get the point - talking about the best artists of the century when only a quarter of it went by. I guess they are trying to just look at the numbers coldly - so i’m predicting Taylor Swift, Beyonce and possibly Lady Gaga, Adele at the top? But i honestly cannot come up with 20 more names who could be so much bigger than Pink…? They probably don’t care about touring and her overall huge impact on pop-rock. She’s been a steady shining star since the very beginning of the century and that’s a fact. |
