So after 24 years we know what she is capable of. We got to learn her way with lyrics, topics, melodies, adlibs and all. With Trustfall, we could tell what song is hers and what was written by someone else. Since both H2BH and TF are ballad heavy, we can see how she operates around the genre, which she actually always have touched a bit, but never this excessively.
Then there is Glitter In The Air. Neither the lyrics, the melody, the topic, the arrangement are typical to her usual ways. She sings about such a specific feeling of love that you cannot find anywhere else in her discography. It's like a feather slowly falling to the ground and puffing the dust particles into the rays of morning light.
She has her ways of dealing with pain and passion, but GITA is probably the only song where she has this peaceful warm feeling that feels like a moment which can pass in any moment.
I always wanted to hear more about how she wrote it with Billy. All she said was it was "after a yummy, yummy night" but I would LOVE to hear more on how it came to life because it is one of the most special songs ever written, for me at least.
So what do you think?

Yes GITA is the most real and honest love song from Pink.
For me, it talks about listening to your heart, taking risk, trusting your emotions. It's a kind of "trustfall" and then those lyrics:
"there you are sitting in my garden, clutching my coffee, calling me sugar, you called me sugar" Awww Pure happiness❤️
There is a lot of the Billy Mann' sweetness in this song. It could be inspired by Billy's own experience. The fact that he lost his first wife to a cancer just a couple of months after they were married. I dont know.

I was thinking about how much Billy's songwriting could be present in the song, affecting the end result, but it makes total sense.

The first time I ever listened to it on Funhouse, I had a vision of her performing it at The Grammys and a feeling that it would elevate her to a new level.
I guess there was something about the unique spirit and soul of the song that conjured this image up for me. No-one will believe me, but it's the total truth.
Lyric-wise, I always suspected that it was related to that man she dated during her separation, who used to write about their fling on Myspace (I think?).

Before the Grammy performance I didn't really like the song that much, but the performance made it a classic and very special to me.
Still not one of my favorite songs, but together with the Grammy Performance it's one of my all time favorite P!nk moments.
She's so damn amazing and that performance proves it. She's in a league of her own.

We saw a softer and vilnerable side of her that we hadn’t really seen from her before (except Love Song, of course). It was also the perfect time in her career to release an album like Funhouse.

I am still in awe of her being able to draw that out in her live shows. "calling me sugaaaaaaaaaaaar, you called me sugaaaaar ooh ohhh ohh". The pipes on her.

Billy Mann, that's how it happened. She should just have an album with him.
