She sounded solid, but definitely not as much as others. Death threats are something that she can't avoid. Postponing shows wouldn't change that. A threat is everywhere. Unless she got a super specific threat (which I doubt). And if it was super specific (such as city-specific), why not just cancel the entire show there instead of postponing? She sounds under the weather (even if she still pushed through), and I doubt she'd cancel for threats that she's gotten before. Also, the day after my show, she didn't cite her own health issue as the reason for postponing that night and the night after's show, but 'family medical issues'. It makes me wonder what kind of 'family medical issues' prevent her from performing for two nights, especially when she has her husband and nanny on tour with her, as support. I feel like some of you aren't wanting to accept this possibility, even with the state of the world right now and the sensitive accusations that were thrown at her that same week. ahhh look we dont know anything. I agree with cal that if she received death threats they have to be very specific to make her just cancel a few shows but not the rest or retire from touring forever. IF i was in her place and received a specific and really dangerous-looking death threat, i would say the truth about why i’m postponing and say that it is a threat thah needs to be taken seriously. I dont see how that would be worse PR-wise than saying it’s family medical issues. It could be her kids, Carey, but could be something up with her mom or brother too. Anyway i just really hope it was just her having a respiratory infection which passed quickly. |

Carey is NOT always on tour with her. He wasn't there for the first month or so, and he's not on tour with her right now. If her kids get fairly sick, I don't think it'd be unreasonable for her to postpone. If she got serious threats, I don't find it plausible that she'd only postpone a weeks worth of shows. Honestly that whole conflict there watching the news is for me like it’s happening on another planet in another universe
I can’t believe that it’s happening on earth
And I can’t believe people chose that over beautiful things in life
I just CANT BELIEVE IT’S REALITY for some people

Looks like the Dallas show is cancelled or postponed for 2nd time. So weird, it was on November 26...
and the Tulsa show also is TBA. Was it a new one?
I guess she will come back next year to do all the postponed shows + a couple of other cities

Maybe it has something to do with USA Thanksgiving (for Dallas show, at least)? It’s probably harder to sell tickets during this weekend. Did the organisation not know Thanksgiving was that week?
I understand 100% when she cancels a show for health reasons or even family reasons. But it’s sad when it’s for business purpose (as it seems to be, I may be wrong). People put all their savings into this, take time off from work, book flights and hotels.
Why did they rush to reschedule the show in Dallas and add a random show in Tulsa if it’s to cancel them less than a month later. They should not take fans for granted

The organization of this tour is such a mess. The naming, the cancellations, the non-announcement of the second EU leg, the tour design, and skipping Runaway and Last Call. It's hard to see how these things do not go smooth.

It's hard to see how these things do not go smooth. i agree. im getting fed up of waiting and im worried im gunna do all of this waiting and then itll be finally announced and there'll be no Scotland, at which point ill be pissed. The only thought i have now is the tour edition of Trustfall is released on Friday 1st December so im thinking itll be announced that week to also promote the album?? |
