I attended the Sunday, October 15th show in San Francisco while on holiday in the US and had a great time.
I'm glad I managed to stay away from 95% of the spoilers out there as it probably helped a lot of the show's elements to feel more pronounced and intense.
I was second row center at the tip of the catwalk and was pretty damn happy with my seat. I was surrounded by a gaggle of drunk, wealthy, middle-aged lesbians and loved it!
That night felt extra special in that it was her father's birthday, which she touched on movingly. It was also one of the first shows she performed Lost Cause at, which was sublime live.
As it turns out, she'd postpone the shows immediately after this one to protect her family from death threats (if you read between the PR lines), so I'm grateful that my show wasn't affected.
I was disappointed by how similar everything felt to the last tour. Girl, you're still performing So What as a finale and in that style? I get that it's a hard aerial act to beat and a crowd fave, but still?
Where were those new stunts that she was excited about during the album promo tour? Turbulence was cool but felt too similar to Secrets, and the opening bungee stunt felt meh (though I loved that snarl symbolism).
She's mentioned how she likes to be made aware of her 'blind-spots', so it begs the question: is she not aware of how formulaic her shows have become, or is it the smartest and safest business move, ultimately?
I appreciated how match-ready she looked, that the costumes were pretty, her vocals sounded clear and strong, and the production was super-sleek and poppy (inspired by the NGNDA colour palette, no doubt).
In summary, the show was an incredibly entertaining, well-oiled machine and way more beautiful than the last tour, yet formulaic to a major fault. Stop underestimating your audience, Alecia.

Are we sure that death threats were the actual reason? She was sounding under the weather at the last show before the postponed ones...

Let's not jump into conclusions. Let's not be too naive, either... If you consider how seriously she takes her family's and team's safety and what kind of world we live in right now, this wouldn't seem like an unreasonable conclusion to jump to... Hours after the show I attended, she posted on X in response to 'threats' she'd received amid the escalating Israel-Hamas war, clarifying that she believes in 'equality' and prays 'for all of us'. Then, the next day, she announced that she's postponing that night and the night after's show, citing 'family medical issues' that prevent her from performing for two nights, apparently. Then a few days after the above, postpones that night and the night after's show too, citing a 'respiratory infection'.

Wait WHAT?! Death threats??? She posted about it on her X account just hours after the show that I attended, and then went on to postpone the next four dates.

So, so far the Trustfall tour starts 12th October and only runs for 5 weeks til 19th November which tbh doesnt make sense. Whats everyone's feelings? Are we all thinking during that time more legs will be added? will there be a UK leg? it doesnt make sense to arrange an arena tour to run for just 5 weeks surely?? For the benefit of others, I'd like to suggest editing the title of this thread to include '[With Spoilers]'.

We cannot be certain but she sounded amazing at my show, which was the one immediately before the string of four postponed dates. She sounded solid, but definitely not as much as others. Death threats are something that she can't avoid. Postponing shows wouldn't change that. A threat is everywhere. Unless she got a super specific threat (which I doubt). And if it was super specific (such as city-specific), why not just cancel the entire show there instead of postponing? She sounds under the weather (even if she still pushed through), and I doubt she'd cancel for threats that she's gotten before.

I doubt that she's received Hamas-related threats before, since the dormant war there had just broken out again in early October, and highly-sensitive, false accusations of her bias towards Israel have never surfaced before. Instead of cancelling shows, I believe she postponed those four show to a later date based on the prediction that enough time would've passed for the dust to settle, while also not completely disappointing fans. Touring makes you more vulnerable, plus puts concert-goers in jeopardy too. Nobody wants an Ariana show repeat. Would you take Hamas-related death threats with a pinch of salt?

Also, the day after my show, she didn't cite her own health issue as the reason for postponing that night and the night after's show, but 'family medical issues'. It makes me wonder what kind of 'family medical issues' prevent her from performing for two nights, especially when she has her husband and nanny on tour with her, as support. I feel like some of you aren't wanting to accept this possibility, even with the state of the world right now and the sensitive accusations that were thrown at her that same week.

Carey is NOT always on tour with her. He wasn't there for the first month or so, and he's not on tour with her right now. If her kids get fairly sick, I don't think it'd be unreasonable for her to postpone. If she got serious threats, I don't find it plausible that she'd only postpone a weeks worth of shows. I really think you're overanalyzing this.
