This month marks the 20th anniversary of this largely forgotten single. What does everyone think of this song? I think it's pretty unique and brilliant. I don't think P!nk is a big fan of it though 'cause she hasn't performed it on tour since 2004, and excluded it from the Greatest Hits... So Far!!! compilation. Last year, I posted this thread about a podcast episode in which William Orbit talks about the recording of this track, in case anyone is interested. MTV just published a HD version of her performance from the 2003 MTV Movie Awards (previously, just a crappy 240p version had existed on YouTube):

This, along with hooker, are the two worst songs on Try This IMO. Oh My God isn't too far behind them but it's sometimes tolerable.

Love Feel Good Time. And still hope one day she'll make music again that's more like the songs that were on Try This. Or even I'm Not Dead.

I really love this song and her performances with the super raspy voice.

Brings back so many memories of the summer of ‘03 vividly for me but otherwise it’s a pretty boring song imo. I was already a fan of hers since M!ss, already liked her more than any other artist and i remember feeling curious about the new album, if it was all going in that direction but thankfully it didn’t. Oh and the iconic facelick

The song sounds even better live, hey? Great choreo, staging and styling too.

Hooker is it true that she was blacklisted by US radios from 2003 to 2004? Some global hits that are said to have been blacklisted by US radios: - Pink: Trouble, feel good time, god is a DJ - Britney: im a slave 4u, overprotected - Xtina: Dirrty

I remember when this came out, it was the first single after Family Portrait had struggled a bit, it felt like the first let down of her musical career (she was on such a run with fantastic singles), and then Trouble and God is a DJ came and failed to do much for her, and I thought, uh oh. She’s in trouble, but then IND came and she reclaimed her spot. And elevated it. She looked sooooo hot in that performance outfit though. Loved her hair. Just Like a Pill vibes.

Her radio success wavered from Family Portrait to U+UR Hand. Once UUH became a hit, she was in radio’s good graces again, and allowed for Who Knew to be re-released and become a hit. Edit: U+UR Hand saved her career. Stupid Girls and the whole moment around it reignited interest in the US, but UUH (and subsequently Who Knew) saved her career in a lot of ways.

Based on her chart history, she underperformed in the US from 2003 to 2006. UUH rose gradually on the Billboard Hot 100, it didn't smash immediately like So What.

Yes, her label essentially had to send out a memo to radio reminding them of how successful she was on radio, and they ended up getting behind UUH “after” it initially started to stall and fall down the charts. Thank God her label stepped in, and the GP connected with the song…that’s when I started to really hear P!nk on the radio again.
