She’s always been attacked for keeping the feud alive by ignorant people. She’s human, humans have weak moments. If you were personally attacked by people who don’t take the time to think or understand the situation you’d probably do the same. |

She’s always been attacked for keeping the feud alive by ignorant people. She’s human, humans have weak moments. If you were personally attacked by people who don’t take the time to think or understand the situation you’d probably do the same. i know and i agree with you. Her staying human and apparently not being controlled by a whole media crew is one of the things i love about her  i just feel bad for her i guess that she feels attacked by this so much that she reacts. You know? This must have invoked some kind of insecurity in her. And that saddens me. A bit similar to when it surfaced that she struggles with her body image so much more than we thought. I just want her to feel good about herself ❤️ |

As much as i love P!nk i have to say again that she is in my eyes responsible for this. She could as well just not answer these questions in interviews. In fact i get the feeling that she keeps bringing these topics up on her own. And then to bring up that this is because "she is a woman and nobody focuses on her art" rubs me the very wrong way.

As much as i love P!nk i have to say again that she is in my eyes responsible for this. She could as well just not answer these questions in interviews. In fact i get the feeling that she keeps bringing these topics up on her own. And then to bring up that this is because "she is a woman and nobody focuses on her art" rubs me the very wrong way. The thing is she didn’t bring them up. The original flare up came from when she was rating her music videos and was asked about Lady Marmalade and all she said was that it wasn’t enjoyable to make, put it last and quirked Mya and Kim were nice. This sparked up that she was shading Christina but everyone knows about their feud from way back when but it went silly. Then on Howard Stern she was asked if she was friends with Madonna so how is she supposed to respond? She said no and that “Madonna doesn’t like me” and Howard pushed for a reason so she told him. It’s not her fault she doesn’t want to refuse to answer a question and that if she did refuse more speculation and false news would be made up so she chose to speak her truth of what she feels is her side of it. The fact that idiots jump on this as her shading them is ridiculous. But it’s the world we live in, and for P!nk to have to come out and make a post about it shows it’s cutting deep. It’s not affecting her sales outside US as far as I can see and I’m not even sure it’s hurting her at all but it’s right that it’s been 2 solid weeks of promotion of an amazing new album and most tweets about her are mentioned along side a feud that is over 20 years old and resolved! Sad she has to respond and it probably won’t help matters but the evidence is there that she tells her truth and hopefully the 2 artists will come to her aid, but I doubt that will happen unfortunately. |

I agree. Plus she talks about her kids in interviews more than she talks about the art . Which is fine, but its not why she has fans. I struggle to see why when she has done so many really positive fun interviews in the last few weeks and xtina has never once been mentioned in any of them she decides to focus on the handful that she feels have been negative. Just let it go and enjoy your success . |

I saw the lookalike blow-up doll live and just took it as a bit of pop culture fun. Who didn't enjoy a playful pop feud back then? Stupid Girls was a specific moment in time and only makes total sense when viewed in that context, and it hasn't aged well because of that. I keep wondering why Eminem doesn't get this much crap for his past satirical takes on pop culture? |

I hate that they bring this stupid feud back. And i hated to read those comments about her in that Buzzfeed article. I think what these people fail to acknowledge is that these things happened a long time ago and a LOT has changed since then in how we look at each other as people or how women are viewed. The world finally realized that women are being pitted against each other by the general society. You simply cannot be pretty and smart at the same time. Back in 2006 when Stupid Girls was released, the tabloids were full of women who became famous because they slept with someone and it got out in public, or they starred in a reality show or they inherited a lot of money or came from a wealthy family etc (Kardashians, Paris Hilton etc)Aka they didn’t really “work” or “accomplish” anything. It seemed like these women’s lives revolved around money and generally just showing off their perfection to the whole world and disclosing things noone really wanted to know about. And Pink was mocking that in Stupid Girls and expressing concern that young women wanted to be like that rather than “use their brains”. Right now women’s rights are getting stronger than ever and women are starting to see that the key for not being put down is uniting together, to be stronger together. Nowadays it doesn’t matter if you are smart, pretty, tall, fat, black or whatever, it’s just that if you are a woman you should never tear another woman down. And i wholeheartedly agree with that and i am 100% sure that Pink does too. Obviously this can be problematic when you want to bring another woman down because she herself treated you like shit and belittled you. By saying or implying that you are not as cool as she is for example. By the toxic suggestion that you need to be pretty and thin and blonde and even that by sleeping with the right men you get by in life or that’s what makes you cool and worthy of attention. At that time i was bullied in school because “popular girls” couldn’t wrap their heads around why a popular guy was dating me, who had straight As and never wore makeup or “pretty clothes” and wasn’t paper thin and pretty and not them. And at the same time i was under pressure from him too that i should be more like them. Stupid Girls was my anthem, needles to say. I felt it spoke to me perfectly. And i do think it aged rather badly because nowadays we learn that these women also have feelings and they have children and look at the world differently. My point is that the writing/making of the video for Stupid Girls might not have come from an insecurity on Pink’s side but it sure as hell gave some strength and a ray of hope to someone who struggled with insecurities. Right now i think the message could be altered a bit: that you can get by in life and achieve anything EVEN if you refuse to exploit your body or all you have is brains, not looks and not money, but it should be implied that there is nothing wrong with being a “Stupid Girl” either. The Christina doll thing was shady as fuck that’s true 😂 but for fuck’s sake that was almost 20 years ago. She was probably really offended and hurt that Beautiful went to Christina. So yes, that performance probably came from an insecurity within her. Does that make it okay? No, but first of all, people change. Second, both Pink and Christina acknowledged this several times in the past few years and that they resolved this. Same about the Miley Cyrus thing. Was it kind of disturbing to see a teenage girl grinding on a much older man who praised nonconsensual sexual relationships in his song? Sure as hell it was and noone can prove the opposite, not to me at least. Especially as Pink was a new mother to Willow at that time. Would Pink acknowledge that Miley has matured and is a great singer and artist now? I am pretty sure, yeah. So i find it unfair to use this as an example of her “belittling other women” when literally half of the world thought the same. But most of all: i think Pink really proved that she’s “not every girl”. It was true when Most Girls came out and it’s true now as well and it is a FACT. None of her peers in the music industry are even close to what she achieved, at least not anyone she was “compared to”. Yet she is expected to be humble and not acknowledge this purely because she is a woman. People also seem to ignore the fact that Pink wrote Slut Like You?! Hello?  I know noone cares again but i just felt like adding my thoughts 🤷♀️ |
