To me it didn’t feel planned at all.
She got upset and wrote and released it herself within 1-2 days, no?

She got upset and wrote and released it herself within 1-2 days, no? i think we all assumed this was the beginning of a new album era because the timing made sense. its 3 and a 1/2 years since her last album, Blow me was released in July and TTAL was released in September so i think we all thought it was the lead single to her new album. i know its a political song and people were saying thats why they knew it wasnt a lead single, but so was What About Us and that was the lead single to BT Sorry it sounds like im moaning lol im not, i love Irrelevant and glad we got a new single from her. But like a lot of people, i just assumed it was the kick off to a new album era |

More wondering why her label/management don't take care of it more and push the song more. Haven't heard it on any radio or anyone talking about that it's released. |

Only thing is and i hope im wrong, maybe her next album wont be ready to be release this year and so pink and her record label thought they'd just release a one off single for no reason just to keep our lips wet until next year. its weird how she hasnt done anything at all, not even a IG Q&A which she normally does when she releases music |

Personally, I’ve heard the song a few times on the radio. That's cool.
The song is never presented as a protest song though. It never mentions the context of the song, such as the right to abortion, gun control, etc.

After I’ve had this for a while, I’m not really loving it. The pronunciation of her “i-s” are shrill and make for a skip to the next song. Hate to say that, but it’s how I feel. Looking forward to her lead from the next album. I hope it strays away from her typical formula and makes everyone excited for her again. I know she has some hits left in her if she puts out the right material.

Irrelevant is one of my favorite songs right now, it's everything I could ask for. I love the meaningful lyrics, it's a great example of pop rock (one of her best IMO), it has a great build up, and I love the way she uses her voice in it (especially in the verses and pre-chorus). All in all, great song.
