I love the song, but I feel like the title especially with those lyrics could have been changed to make the song a little more deeper.

It won't be successful at all and at this point her team should've realized that and release something more deeper and more diverse to her singles, like I Am Here, Barbies or even Where We Go.

Glad I am not the only one who thinks like this. To me, my least favorite song on the record. But no matter what song she decides to release, I hope it will be successful. It's just that IMO there are far better songs on BT that really deserve to shine since they are still "P!nk", but this time around different enough in production and style that it could be a nice tiny departure from her "single narrative", except for WYW for me. Anyway, I just hope whatever the next single will be, it will get a real music video. I don't want to believe this era is already over in that regard. The album is too good and has too many good songs to be already done and finished like that. |

I don't think they really care for a hit though.
It's not like the album has any smash other than WAU or maybe Revenge (which they scrapped).
Sadly, I think the era is quite over single-wise - we might get other singles, but they won't have half of WAU's success.

Well MANY thought Beautiful Trauma would be a hit and it flopped harder than Funhouse.
..lets see what happens...im sure there will be other singles...theres nothing on the album that screams hit...all are risky...especially in today's music climate.
Barbies deserves hit status...but I doubt radio will support it enough. I Am Here also, (but it also grates on my nerves when she goes high). For Now is like WYW, could go eiither way. Where We Go is a front runner (but its the song that burnt on me the most), it has a much-dated mumford and sons which could hurt it. Secrets has huge potential interationally, not sure about US.
Revenge - no.
Honestly, I wish she could release But We Lost It (have Adele hop on lol) and radio would actually support her...but they wont.
Nothing else left, imo.

I think the lyrics let BT down as a single choice. I’ve heard a lot of people say that. It is probably one of my least favourites on the album, but I have enjoyed all of the live performances. I can't see WYW going anywhere either at this point. If she's ”flopping” with safe/familiar choices then she may as well pick something risky, in my opinion. |
