I mean it’s a start, and I won’t turn it down, But $1400 isn’t going to save anybody. Sadly rather than stimulate the economy and help small businesses etc, people will toss it to bills which they are already monthhhhhhs behind on. And it still won’t get them ahead. Again, I’m not bashing it, It’s a start. |

Right, but there're other things to help even more like extending expanded unemployment benefits with a $300 weekly supplement through Labor Day, and direct help for small businesses. All people got with Republicans was a small tax cut (>90% went to rich people), and that was destroyed by the Trump-taxes, the Trump-tariffs, due to his braindead trade war with China and the EU. So the MAGAts got fucked by Trump and the Republicans by basically paying for their own tax cut, and especially the tax cut for the rich. |

and the loans for businesses sounds great,
But I know multiple people that have had to completely shut down their businesses for good.
It’s sad.
And it’s annoying to see how much of this money has gone to super wealthy.

The forgiveness waiver on the prior unemployment payments is nice though....
It forgives up to $10,000 I believe.
Tax time is coming up, and the government was about to suck $1600 away from me, which would have eaten more that the full $1400
So I appreciate that.
