Ok so theres not much else to talk about and some of you think we may get a new album in 2021 which i think is being hopeful, i think itll be 2022 at the earliest. But what do you want from pink's 9th album. i can only think of a couple of things tbh
> More upbeat songs. BT and H2BH has been very ballad led and i want more badass, party P!nk. Like TTAL, 2 ballads max > The last song not to be a ballad. i dont get why she ends the last 2 albums on like 2 ballads.

I like her ending her albums with ballads it's a nice way to end the album. I really don't care what she does with this album I just don't want it to be rushed like Human!

I still hope that the new album will be in 2021. I also wanted an album with a max of 2 ballads. And what I really wanted was more Rock than pop. I think 2 years is a great time to release an album.

I still love Try This and would love her to go down that lane again. im just worried shes scared to go down the rock lane as TT underperformed. But shes a lot more established then she was when she released TT so i think a rock album would be successful for her now. and it would be different to her last 5 albums

Because she was on tour she couldnt do a lot of interviews/performances i still think her record label pushed her to release a new album so soon after BT because there was 5 years between TTAL and BT. The timing of its release didnt make sense

Yes, H2BH‘s entire release time/run was a bit underwhelming, but I would’ve honestly not cared much if the album itself was actually great. However, it wasn’t so it needed the whole shabang around it to make it a bit worthwhile. And it didn’t have that either unfortunately. At least she hit it out the park with the WMH video 👍
For the next record, I would like her to team up again with Linda and Eg White. As new people, I would love her to work with James Vincent McMorrow and Class Actress.
As theme: M!ssundaztood will always be my favorite album of hers. So a mixture of weird pop mixed with funk, blues and rock would be great. Songs like My Vietnam, Gone to California, Numb, Eventually or Lonely Girl, etc etc etc... just the feel of the entire album does it for me. She doesn’t have to copy it (and she more than likely won’t, although Happy could have easily been on M!ssundaztood), but I’d love for her to create an album again with an actual vibe.

I just got a new pair of pro-consumer speakers and am listening to M!ss and Try This, and man those two albums were so well produced. There are so many things I'm hearing for the first time in years. In terms of production it is similar to the great albums of yesteryears, by AC/DC, Pink Floyd, Beatles, Michael Jackson, Queen, etc. The layers are separate (distortion on Feel Good Time, thumping on My Vietnam, Trouble has so many cool sound effects), the instruments are so crisp and clear.
I’m cycling through her latter albums and have yet to find a song whose production is as exquisite. The songs just sound very one-dimensional and “mashed”. Even Free (which is from the Try This era) on YouTube (compressed file vs Tidal's Hi-Fi version) sounds more incredible. Don’t get me started on Walk Me Home, whose production on the chorus is just for some reason very murky.
So my hope for !9 is that she will go back to that kind of production. And for that to happen she’d have to use real instruments and not overproduce the songs. Speaking of Free, how can someone who writes and sings like that release songs like Can We Pretend, Courage, etc.? Someone who idolises Janis Joplin, Freddie Mercury, Billy Joel, etc.
She needs to rethink her artistry or just stop releasing music. And stop working with popular producers (and god, avoid Sia like COVID). She’s of a certain age and truth is she’s not going to have radio/mainstream success again, so now it’s time to get critical acclaim.

It’s GLORIOUS! I wish I could hear Free on vinyl once. It’s probably my favorite P!nk song 💕

Free's such an amazing song

Hurts 2B Human wasn't rushed. Most of the songs on it were recorded in between 2014 and 2015. It was rather the wrong timing. And she could replace Can We Pretend with a rock song. It wasn't rushed, it was ruined.

Yes, I also think that maybe it was pressure from the RCA. There is no point in releasing an album in the middle of the tour and not having time to promote it. I don't think H2BH is a bad album, with the exception of Can We Pretend which could be a B-side, but never be part of the album. He has great songs like Happy, Hey Why, My Attic, Hurts 2B Human, The Last Song of Your Life, 90 Days. She could have released it after the tour, so she would have time to produce better videos, for example for 90 Days, which was wasted. And with that I could have made better use of BT and Where We Go, Whatever You Want, For Now, could have been singles. And I wanted her to work with other producers, rather than also calling Linda Perry, Butch Walker, Dallas Austin, (Shellback and Max Martin, but if it's for less pop songs). And finally, I think she could work with Mark Ronson. Try This is a wonderful album, and it did not give due value.
