They said the same thing yesterday in the news about lockdown in the US: 'a lot of people will lose their job' I don't get it. When the lockdown is over and all this is passed, they 'll need people on those jobs again, so how come you lose your job?? Are you serious? ☺️ Uh, yeah. Stuff doesn't work like that in my country. We call it social security. Unless all those companies go bankrupt. But yet, social security. So, yeah, call me stupid (you basically did thank you), but I don't get it.

Quebec government decided to shut down ALL non essential businesses and companies. And we "only" have 628 cases (4 deaths). Basically, we will all lose our jobs?!! ☹️ I hope the strategy works. I'm somewhat lucky here. my boss, who owns the business, is also 50% owner of the building / property, so he has a little bit more of a cushion financially to keep the business from going bankrupt while this is going on. So when things get back on track, ill have a job again I have friends who own businesses, who aren't the property owner. basically those friends, are paying rent to the building owner, but not able to operate their business to create income to pay for the business to stay alive my friends coffee shop for example is closed, but his business still has bills every month while they are closed, rent being a giant part. hes not sure if he will be able to reopen his business once things go back to normal, because they were barely surviving as it was. so this "temporary closure" might be the final nail in the coffin and create a permanent closure for him.... lots of small businesses won't be able to survive right now I'm going to have to get creative and find a way to make a little extra money because otherwise I won't be able to pay my rent.. They have laws right now preventing my apartment from evicting me if I can't pay. however if you read in to it, if I fall behind on rent, the apartment could still say "you neglected to pay previous months, so now that things are 'normal' we can evict you now" people are going to go further and further into debt with no real way out.... and yah, there are things in place, I technically am getting "unemployment pay" from the employment security department, but guess how much that is? they paid me $145 this week... 🤣🤮 that's not even 1/10th of my monthly rent. 🙃🔫 Hope you're doing alright. I'll survive.. but there are lots of people here who a F-U-C-K-E-D

The economic impact, the virus itself, losing a loved one, dying or being a survivor of the crash. 145$...☹️☹️☹️ What can we do? I feel so powerless. And scared.

Unfortunately I’m not a major corporation, so no, wouldn’t do a ton for me..... Bummer. You know what, I’m just now seeing details of the new agreement. I didn’t know a deal had been made yetz I was referring to the initial plan. This new one is a little better. Still, I think it’s the wrong time to do it, but what do I know. 🤷🏻♀️
