Coworker tested positive and is really sick....

I think my boss still wants us to be open.
Which isn’t smart (and I think it’s also illegal)
I’m kinda stressed cause I don’t wanna get my mom sick or anyone.
And the holidays.

Such garbage that he thinks we are going to work. And so irresponsible. We have 2 bartenders every night. I’m the lead tomorrow and the 2nd bartender is somebody who works directly with the guy who tested positive. And both our cooks tomorrow are high risk. One of the cooks who’s a super good friend of mine is a kidney transplant so he has LIKE NO IMMUNE SYSTEM. The other cool tomorrow has Crohns Disease and is also high risk. Plus the customers could have high risks, or family members who are. ITS ALL SO IRRESPONSIBLE. I’m calling the boss tomorrow to strongly recommend shutting the place down for two weeks - out of precaution. You’d much rather be known as the restaurant that reacted on the side of safety than the restaurant that tried to hide wha going on. ***also my throat itches and my stomach hurts  |

Kip and I had a meeting with the boss today, and encouraged him to shut us down.... Made this alert for our social media and stuff and for our website. Also printing some up to post in the window. Ughhhh. not fun. But I believe its the right move.  |
