I love Marina! I saw her live 2 years ago, she has a fantastic stage presence. And great voice of course. also saw Lily with alrightsir a few years ago, she's pretty cool I think Florence + the Machine would be my 2nd choice after P!nk. I like lots of stuff. I am planning to attend a few concerts this summer and the ones i'm most looking forward to are Arctic Monkeys and MØ. Oh lucky you. I thought she was coming to Scandinavia during the last tour, but she never did and I ended up not seeing her.... For some reason I am a fan of all her "aaaaa"s and "oooooh"s in her songs. Like in Obsessions and FROOT and many others. I've actually seen at least three others in atrl that are a fan of both her and P!nk which I found interesting since they're so different. How was Lily vocally? ----- I wish I was one of those people that just let Spotify play whatever songs and discover more favorite songs, but I am unfortunately a repeat kind of person. I also tend to like only female voices haha. I think P!nk and Marina would get on well. The sense of irony that you get when you see/listen to Marina is similar to what P!nk offers a lot of times. Marina is such a diva though 😂 she's wearing crazy stuff like a bubblegum pink latex onesie and talks like a queen 😂 She's amazing. Make sure you see her whenever you get the chance (although i get the feeling she's not busy writing music right now?) hmm from what i remember Lily is good vocally. All in all i don't think her voice is as great as others i mostly like her lyrics and attitude lol. i feel you, i also find it hard to get into new music. Live experiences help though, i always like an artist more after i had a good concert experience

I have always loved my Icelandic band, Sigur Ros. There's some other stuff...but I'm tired enough not to recall it all at the moment. Omg don't get me started on them. Absolutely phenomenal, out of this world. If I needed to show what emotion is through music, I would choose them. Valtari is my favorite album: it's like when you floating between life and death, your soul is awaking and getting broken simultaneously. Beautiful athmosphetic music which goes great for thinking, hiking and stargazing.

I love so many artist bit I have a couple of absolute favorites.
Coldplay - I still hate myself for not seeing them live. They make so uplifting hymnic music that I just wanna go and squeeze my soul through every heart-tearing emotuon just to set it free later.
Lily Allen - Amazing lyricist. Outspoken. LOVE her social commentaries on the world.
Lana Del Rey - She really makes music for the ears. It's sultry and hot. Eargasm.
M83 - They are super talented. Perfect soundtrack music, for every life moment. Their Hurry Up They're Dreaming album is similar to Sigur Ros in terms of emotions conveyed through music. Just listen to "Outro" with headphones in the dark - you will feel like your inner energies are set free and you can do anything.
Hans Zimmer - phenomenal, genius, unbeatable. The best composer of all time.
The Killers - Who doesn't love some anthemic indie synth rock with bitterweet undertone? Dustland Fairytale's always felt like Who Knew's big brother.
Bon Iver - Again, bittersweet, soulwretching, beautiful, athmospheric indie folk/electronic music which I adore. His "Bon Iver" album is one of the best roadtrip soundtrack.
A few other folk/indie groups I adore: The Lumineers, Mumford and Sons, Low Roar (listen to his Give Up song and don't cry), Of Monsters And Men (looove their first record) and Jónsi too. So many of them!

She posted this video and even by just those 12sec, I know this will become a brilliant song. Sounds like being in heaven. I don't know why, but it feels like she is immune to writing bad music. And she was recently in LA which in my opinion means producing new music. Did you see the photos of her with Lana, Florence and the machine and Jack Antonoff (the last one shocked me)? What I like about Lily Allen's voice is that it sounds so calming and soft. Like she's singing a lullaby. Yet the same mouth is also full of swearwords and swagger haha. I fear that her twitter activity may hurt her sales, but I hope not. I also fear the new album will be more hip hop, but we'll see. Ok, thanks for the tip. I have to see more artists live then. I've gotten some favorites via the Discover weekly feature on Spotify, but only rarely.

I used to be a fan of Lady Gaga and Lana Del Rey as well, but then their later albums didn't do it for me. But while I thought I was done with Lana Del Rey, I actually loved her latest album. Get Free, for example, is now a favorite song by her. I also like music in games (Zelda, Mario, etc) and movie soundtracks (last 20min of Annihilation, Interstellar, Vangelis (Blade Runner), Game of Thrones, etc).
When it comes to unknown artists, I would recommend Lianne La Havas. Her 2015 album is great and was nominated for a grammy.

Social Distortion (& Mike Ness’ solo stuff) Soundgarden Creedence Clearwater Revival Johnny Cash Dropkick Murphys Bette Midler Lily Allen Fleetwood Mac Eminem Flogging Molly The Offspring
And the list gets added to at times, but these people are never removed from it.
