I was watching this for the first time and she says at 1:06 that she wrote 50 songs then she went onto say she did think is it possible to release a 50 song album lol I realise she was obviously joking but it does suggest that she did like a lot of the songs that didn't make the album
I know there's no way we'll get a new album this year unless she releases a deluxe edition of Beautiful Trauma which I kind of hope she doesn't. I love BT don't get me wrong but would rather she release a brand new album next year, end of 2019 probably. We waited 5 years for BT and whilst I'm in no way bitter about that because she was spending time with family and having a well deserved break and I know in that time she lost another baby and was apparently struggling to get pregnant again. So I completely get why it was 5 years between The Truth About Love and Beautiful Trauma. But I am hoping we get a new album next year

I have a theory that she is doing the Super Bowl 2019, and the album will be out right after, then she will do a second US leg THEN Europe.
If Carey's instagram is anything to go by, he said he's traveling for the next "year and half", they started in March, 18 months to that would result in the last date of the tour being around September 2019.
She has not announced anything yet as to what is happening after the Australian tour, so part of me thinks it's rehearsal for the biggest performance of her career, some behind the scenes prep for new album (or possibly re-issue), then resume tour.

I'm thinking that she'll do SB too, so she needs time to rehearse and if she'll do another album she needs time to write some new songs. I doubt she'll use only songs that didn't make the cut for BT.

I think 2020 for the next album.
I think she'll tour up until the dates we have already, then take a break/write for the next album. Super Bowl after christmas and then Europe tour. Start promo early 2020 for the next album

What's are they planning for the 20 anniversary for Can't Take Me Home? Probably another greatest hits which would be pointless seeing as shes only released 2 albums since her last GH in 2010. I would have thought as well and maybe I'm wrong, but because she took 5 years between TTAL and BT, the record company would be on her like a rash to release another album in the near future, whether its a deluxe edition of BT or a brand new album. Surely they wouldn't be happy with her if she took another 5 years to release another album |
