I feel numb.. i had so much hope that they would make it work. At least we bonded well and we are here together now...
My biggest fear was that if someday the forum is gone nobody would bother to stay in contact and that we would just move on. But people cared enough to make a new home, and that warms my heart.
I hope P!nk comes out with an official statement tho.

I think there's much more going on and things are complicated. It would have been easy to handle a transfer but for some reason it couldn't happen.
I hope P!nk finds a way.

Aww, come on guys. We don't know what happened and why. And maybe it's for the better. Let's not say rude things even if we are sad it had to end this way.
We did what we could and I trust our queen did what she could too. I too agree it would be nice with a closure, to know whether or not putting time and money on to making this forum better. But let's just wait and see what happens. At least we have each other.

Yeah, I don't want to descend into name-calling and negativity here as much as I might be thinking it (and trust me, I'm thinking it). We need to put that energy into something productive, like making this place work and showing them it is worthwhile.

I wish we knew their real name. It makes me laugh every time I see someone write 'Yngwie'. Poor Malmsteen.
Transparency would have solved this whole thing, and I don't understand why it is so hard for someone to reach out these days. The forum had been neglected and disassociated with PP for so many years without consideration, and that's the hardest part for me. They didn't even give it a chance to succeed. This place, on the other hand, has everything that was missing. Heart, passion and dedication. I hope we can prove them wrong. There is real value here.

Thanks for all the replies. It makes me feel better to know that all the rallying of troops and sleepless nights was worth it in a different way than originally intended, but we have come here to carry on, reignited a fire that was barely even glowing embers by the end.
I am catching up on sleep tonight (and tomorrow work) that I missed out on last week. You guys make this forum. X

I just don't get it.. really. It's a forum on a website who doesn't need that much maintenance.. why wouldn't they just hand over the passwords and admin titles to someone else.. This is all so weird to me.. it wouldn't even have to be a problem. Happy we got this place though  Thanks everyone who set it up and never pull the plug on us!  |
