Wow what a cool concept for a music video! I love it so much! I am also very curiously how they did this technically. I'm thinking when they filmed there were live dancers and they edited them out but left the shadows? Yeah, that's my guess too. Put the dancers in green suits and rendered them out of the frames and images in post production through visual effects/CGI. |

Agree. And what about the shadows. JESUS. I don't think there's one second in this video that I don't love. Yeah, it was great that they didn't render the dancers' shadows out of the image. Idk for me it gives a feeling of: being alone, but you're not alone; and maybe you don't remember the past exactly, the people you met and the details of everything, but the feeling is still there as strong as the day you had it in form of the shadows. Lol idk but I like interpretation of art. That’s exactly what I wrote earlier the thing about being alone but not being alone. Great minds think alike!  |

I also wanna add, it’s a real classy video, for example the Just Like Fire video, I hated it. felt like she was acting and was super corny. But this.. aaah perfection!

In hindsight, I am kinda glad she didn’t tease the video too much. This way all was somewhat a surprise in terms of content. But as happy2bhere said, I wished song and video would have been released simultaneously. I also think it would have made for a bigger impact.

It's the minor details that get me. Like how you can see the steam of her breath at the beginning, cause she doesn't lip sync even in her video shoots. Even down to the last glimpse of her walking away through the crowd at the end. I've noticed there is zero awkwardness too, some of her previous videos might have bad shots or editing might be a bit hit and miss but this has such a professional nature to it, even from her (given she likes to not take herself too seriously).
I keep watching it and see something new each time 😍
