Nothing feels right with this era. There's such a lack of excitement and effort from her end. Song has been out for more than 3 weeks and there's no video. No pre-order of the album. I was excited for BT album. This time, I feel so whatever. I haven't listened to song in more than a week. I find it one of her weakest songs ever. And I'm fine with that. I can not love everything that she puts out. However, her attitude of indifference is worrying. I don't know what's the plan, but I'd rather see her not releasing album if she's not completely into it. I hope that she's not doing this because her contract says so. well the lack of effort isn't really her fault to be fair because shes on tour. I now fully believe her record label wanted to squeeze 1 more album out of her this year because next year is her 20th anniversary so will no doubt want to do another Greatest Hits. and to be honest that would sort of suit P!nk because after touring this year and last year she'll probably take the majority of 2020 off, maybe when the GH is released probably November 2020 she'll release one new single to promote GH then maybe do a few TV interviews. She'll probably take 2021 off as well So basically this album is probably just to squeeze 2 or 3 more hits for a GH in 2020 Why is everyone talking as if the record label wanted to squeeze something out? Do you all forget she wrote 25 songs for Beautiful Trauma? Even back then she hinted at releasing a BT2 because it was a pain in the ass to cut some of the songs out. Eminem released two albums within a year or whatever ish, why is this all of sudden “so weird” to do and “forced”? No I’m not gonna believe she only released something because someone forced her. |

I don’t know. Waiting for an album for 5 years and having these eras is long gone, no? Lines blur. I sure as hell know that I wouldn’t want her to do anything if she’s not 110% into it herself. But like someone said, it’ll show easily if that’s the case. I guess we’ll see once the album is released. |

I get both sides of the discussion here but times have changed, TV promo is minimal all around. The fact that we got an appearance on Ellen and a major award show performance (a 12-minute one!!!) is good.
Ariana Grande is about to start her Sweetener tour, and she just released a whole other album before starting the tour for the first one.
No one sticks to long gaps between albums anymore, or pre-plans the way it used to be done back in the day.
I'm glad we get a long tour, with STADIUMS!!! for Europe, a brand new album, a big budget 3-day shoot video, some TV appearances, etc.
Silver lining: it truly honestly could be so much worse. Think of everyone that is from the 2000's era, and then look at P!nk. She's doing phenomenally and we are lucky she is still this active.
