Sorry but need a rant because im starting to feel frustrated and want to get this off my chest. I want to start off by saying I absolutely LOVE p!nk and fully respect that she has kids now and they quite rightly are her first priority. fully understand that and I think its amirable that Carey and her are fully hands on parents and don't just hand them over to nannies. just wanna make that clear as I didn't want anyone to think I was selfish and forgetting she has kids and they have to come first Also, want to make this clear. I have not made this thread to bash Pink and slag her off. shes one of my heroes and I respect her completely and think shes an incredible mother But I feel like BT era started last October and ended 2 months later in the December. then after that its been pretty much dead ever since. I thought after she started the tour in March, things would start picking up but it feels like even though shes on tour, she has completely disappeared. sorry American fans, but im still absolutely p---ed off theres a second US leg in place and still nothing for Europe and we know we're not getting a leg until after she tours the US AGAIN which I think is totally unfair. I did think the 6 months break was weird at first but then Ive actually realise and understand that actually with kids, she needs the break as well as the kids. I totally understand that touring with young kids is bound to be a lot more tiring than it was before kids so the break is totally justifiable and deserved. But the 2nd US leg I honestly don't understand and the wait is bugging me now. Particular because its branded a 'world tour' also, I was disappointed that she didn't release a deluxe edition. I know im gunna sound like a hypocrite when I say this. a part of me sort of respected the fact that she said she didn't want to release a deluxe edition because she felt like with TTAL, she put too many songs on that album and I cant remember what exactly she said but something along the lines of she wanted BT to be a more cohesive body of work. and part of me does get what she means. but selfishlessly I know, part of me did think but we waited 5 years [Completely understand why] without any new Pink music, I did want an extra 4 or 5 songs if im honest. all of pink's songs are brilliant and tbh I like the TTAL bonus songs more than some of the standard songs. so I never understood why she decided not to release a deluxe anyone else the same as me?? Please don't go after me with fire and pitchforks because I honestly absolutely love pink and respect her so much as a human being, a mother and an artist/performer. but I cant help but feel this way

You’re free to say whatever you’re feeling. Of course. Always.
You’re from EU, right?
I think I know what you mean with the disappearing part. It was What about us for three months and that’s about it. I barely even hear that song anywhere anymore. It’s either Just give me a reason or Sober. So I agree, at least here in Sweden, she came back bom bam and she disappeared just as fast, which is sad IMO. But it’s their decision and priority to focus on whatever they have been focusing on instead this era. I’m too sad it wasn’t us this time and I don’t wanna know what I’d feel if I didn’t go see her in US. At least I’m happy we have an insight trough her Instagram and Twitter. But that’s about how “fun” it has got here this era. Without the fanclubs doing an amazing job people would have lost more interest in her I’m afraid.

I also want to add that a lot of fans and long time fans are upset, mostly because of no dates, but also that they took away our board and she said she tries to save it but then we don’t hear a word after that. I’m sorry to say this but she has let down a lot of fans this era and that makes me super sad, of course. But I guess she is really doing her best she can and I hope she doesn’t feel like she’s not enough because of this😢

I do feel terrible for feeling this because like I said. I absolutely love p!nk and im not bashing her. i actually respect her for being a full time mum and not shoving her kids from nanny to nanny. but it is like shes already vanished and as much as I still love BT, it does feel older than 11 months if im honest

I agree. BT is IMO a strong album after a very lackluster TTAL and all of its different versions (again, my opnion). And as such, I hoped for a much stronger era. They probably invested so much into the start of the promo and WAU that they might have felt a bit discouraged when it didn't take off as quickly as they have imagined.
What I also found strange was how everything she did, people got excited for for a second and then completely forgot about it. I am mostly talking about her BT skyscraper wall performance. It just didn't turn up the career highlight it was meant to be which again slowed down the era. Things didn't really pick up unfortunately and everything came pretty much to a halt with the start of her tour.
Also IMO she should have released different singles after WAU. BT (song) is too much the same old same old and just not very interesting to have people experience a different side of P!nk; and BT (album), even though it doesn't stray away much from her old formula, still has different facets that could have been explored much better and deeper.
It has become kind of a weird era. She did some right decisions in regards to promo (Barbies at CMA, the apple showcase + BT making of, Radio One cover of SWM, etc.) but it was weird how nothing really lastingly took off.
I am okay with BT only being 13 songs long. I understand what she meant about not having a zillion bonus versions. Hell, I would have been glad if she ditched WYW too lol But some of the promo things she recorded at the beginning or booked promo spots could have been spread out a bit more evenly throughout the year to have a more lasting impact and not waste everything in a span of a couple of months.
I'm glad that she's not one of those artists that try to hop on everything that's hot at the moment and release feature after feature with questionable musicians just to stay in the eye of the public. But it was a bit disheartenig to see how quickly it seemed that her PR people/label forgot (?) about her which made the era seem too short and a bit uneventful. Apart from the VMA speech which I'm glad overshadowed that kinda lackluster medley.

The era was literally tailor-made to make it easy for her. The preparation for promo and the promo itself took place in a 3-4 months period. Even the photo shoots were all done in one go and distributed to magazines and through-out the era so she wouldn't have to do others. For heaven's sake, the Secrets video and the single cover are just excuses. She is big enough not to do EVERY SINGLE TV SHOW every time and not even do mid-era promo, but add all the above with the fact that the big budget follow up single/video (Revenge) was canceled, I do get why you sense the era was very short. I do however sense that there is something coming soon. She's touring the US again next year under the Beautiful Trauma Tour title, and then there are plans for a European tour. I cannot comprehend continuing with the tour under that title if the album is... well, dead? I think a re-release is coming at the very least, or maybe a new single tacked on with a couple of remixes under the name "Fan Edition" or something. I hope and pray they are planning something for Q4 2018 and Q1 2019. The recent interview with Mark where he said they're doing televised performances with the boss here and there is a bigger clue. New single, or perhaps Grammys- but I wonder if she will get a time slot since she performed last year? Either way, yes, we get your frustration and we all feel the same on some level I think.

I agree. BT is IMO a strong album after a very lackluster TTAL and all of its different versions (again, my opnion) I would feel the same way if Beautiful Trauma had just the P!nk balance we are used to. I'm missing that aggressive Are We All We Are type song (or an I'm Not Dead/It's All Your Fault even), and the sarcastic humorous Stupid Girls/Bad Influence/Cuz I Can/Slut Like You type too. I know we have Revenge, but it's not on the same level for me. I recall she said her goal for the album was not to have it all be sad songs, because that's all she had for some time. Well, it mostly is sad, unfortunately. There's an undertone of giving up, defeat and surrender to the entire album, which I hope is coincidental and not just her settling in and settling down, as terrible as that sounds. I only say this in a sense of "encouraging her creativity" and nothing else. The moment Trump was elected, she posted something on Instagram about turning to music. I expected angst more than anything, and a fire that would address SO many issues that arose in the past few years with the political climate and society in general. http://instagram.com/p/BMmVKkVlXIl She spoke about scheduled studio time to record this album, and she also took the longest to make it. I think she overthunk it and kept editing and editing until it became a little watered down. That said, I still love it but I think the first 70% of the CD is more successful than the latter.

I agree with you. I live in Quebec and here, her album was a mega hit. Her show at Montreal was sold out within minutes. It was BIG. But from Christmas time, it was over. We don't hear WAU, BT or WYW anymore. The announcement of the new leg did not provoke a big excitement. A lot of tickets are still available for the new date (specially the VIP). Same thing for Toronto and New York. I'll be at these shows and I'm afraid that the venues will be full of people who got discount tickets and don't really care.
Maybe that 2nd leg was not a good idea. Obviously I'm happy for myself, but I don't understand why she doesn't tour in Europe before. I really thought it was because she planned to do the super bowl (= big US promo).
Honnestly, I don't understand anything about this era.

It is too bad because it is her biggest era (in terms of touring)... Super Bowl. Vanguard award.
But it is not just her era. Most pop artists don't have any successful singles past the 2nd one, and the era just dies thereafter. Streaming killed the pop star, really.

Streaming killed the pop star, really. Depends how you see it. It gave birth to many too.

What I feel with the rise of streaming is that there's no "era" in the classic sense. There are so many little songs and features released here and there that it feels more like a big blur than specific era.

When is her Hollywoodstar reveal? Maybe she's planned something around that time and the era picks up again?

Definitely her most boring but also exciting in ways. So much potential but huge let down. I think if she wasn’t a mom this era would have been different.
If no super bowl, why the damn wait on Europe and the UK. Better be a good reason. But to say how is the us get two tours before us is kinda selfish. U know we didn’t get a tour for try this and I’m Not Dead right? Yes a small club tour but not what youm guys got two tours in a row. I think they’re trying to seal her tour success in the US now that she’s secure elsewhere.
