Agree with that! With P!nk I like to know it all, but with Eminem I am happy to be under more of an... Illusion if you will. Some things might be part of the persona/creative story telling so I’m cool with not knowing. Does that make sense? It makes sense... part of what makes him so great is wondering where it all comes from, but you can’t help but be curious.... I feel like I remember Pink talking about this sorta stuff before. like specifically w/ making videos - I don’t remember when or where or on what, but it was her saying that she kinda doesn’t like music videos, because it creates an image that goes with that song that may not be the same as the image the song created in everybody else’s head? I’m probably wayyyyyy off on how I explained that. or it might not have even happened at all. BUT TO TIE IT IN TO EMINEM AND THIS; perhaps if we knew what created these songs, it might take away some of what it is in our own heads. but if Eminem wrote down what the song was about / how it came to be, and put it in an envelope, and handed it to me, and said “go ahead and open it if you wanna know”, I know I’d end up opening the letter. I always wanna know everything 😬 Letter to you from Eminem? This reminds me of a song   I don’t remember Pink saying that at all, but you’re probably right  I know she said it with What about us, cause I was definitely one of them who thought of relationship stuff when I heard it back when it got released. And that’s what I like too, how songs can mean other things depending on whatever you’re going through. Hearing River and seeing the video is two different songs for me. Have you seen it? |

Pink is a person that I’ve always been very curious about. Her thoughts, reflections and opinions. I think him and her have a similar way of expressing themselves. Except she’s using less words and he’s good at details. I can’t explain it because they’re both very different still. But I like it. I am curious about some of her stuff that I can’t really figure out and some of his stuff too, but I don’t wanna know it all. Just some of it |

At first I didn’t like the little video clips and all that thrown in,
I liked the interview pieces though.
By by the end of it I got kinda invested in all of it...
It’s done well.
I dunno....

It’s a nice change from a straight up music video.

I’ve posted about Yelawolf a few times on here, but I figured this one was worth sharing.... the songs a little but corny (not a huge fan of the hook), and the song is about God/Jesus/whatever, but the verses are pretty good |

I finished my 1st listen during lunch time. For sure, I prefer this album compared to the last one.
I love a lot of songs on the album.
Since I'm very bad in English, I understand maybe 20% of the lyrics (🤣). I need more time. So I will probably change my mind, but Greatest, Venom, Kamikaze & Normal are my top 3 right now!!

I finished my 1st listen during lunch time. For sure, I prefer this album compared to the last one. I love a lot of songs on the album. Since I'm very bad in English, I understand maybe 20% of the lyrics (🤣). I need more time. So I will probably change my mind, but Greatest, Venom, Kamikaze & Normal are my top 3 right now!! I think Kamikaze is so different to Revival. Kamikaze is Slim Shady and Revival is Eminem, so maybe that's why. I like them both though. You are so right about the lyrics. My first listen I did without the lyrics and understood about 20%, I focused on feeling the music/vibe instead. My second listen I read the lyrics while listening and understood like 40%. I L O V E many lines. That one about lying through your teeth so much you broke a tooth was fucking amazing. Also the whole last verse of Nice guy. The Ringer was a cascade puke in the form of a song, lol. My only critic to him will be that in some songs I sometimes feel like it's just a whole bunch of words thrown in to flow good. But then again, I probably need more time to "get into it", cause he's smart and he wouldn't just not think it through. Also, I'm not too familiar with the rap world and all the people and who fucks who's ass or who wants to kill who, blabla. The drama lol. After my second listen I did a scoring (1-5 points); four songs got 5 points, one song got 4,5 points, four songs got 4 points and two songs got 3 points. I guess I could reveal them if you want to know |
