I mean, it's not like I didn't give them a chance ever. You don't think they'd deserve a 2nd? I think cats just don't like me. It's not just that one cat that bit my boob. I've had them literally jumping on me on my face for no reason. Dad's cat was the cutest thing ever all white and fluffy but she was the devil sometimes and you'd never know when. She jumped on shadows and was all bananas. I mean, I don't hate them but I don't feel comfortable having them near me. I wish it was different

I'd probably be ok with a cat that I could watch from afar for a couple of days to know what they're like before spending time with them, hahaha.

When they're 2 years or younger they are all into playing around with them being predators, so they attack out of nowhere sometimes. Usually goes away when they get older.

My dad has a cat that I’ve never seen. he says the cat is scared of everybody and is probably watching me from afar to see if I’m safe.... i guess it it makes sense, or its it’s just that my dads old and has imaginary animals in his head. 🤷🏻♀️

I know we had a cat at this family we lived with before for a while. She was black and like 8 years and was super cuddly and nice. That was the only cat I ever actually loved and that loved me back. However later I became allergic and I think someone told me that they feel this and somehow want to be around allergic people more than non allergic people, which is why they all go bananas on me probably.

Yup, they’re crazy when they are little.... my sister got a cat when my nephew was like 5.... My nephew named the cat Tay. Tay was super wild and crazy and always attacking my sister and nephew. My sister decided to get rid of Tay. My nephew cried. So my mom said, “Rory, how about Tay can still be your cat, she’ll Just live at my place?” My mom ended up hating Tay for the same reason. So fucking wild. I love that cat though. I swear she’s the nicest animal ever. She’ll attack your face, but it’s out of love, then jump up and cuddle with you..... I like her, she’s got personality.

Shit I just realized I am the weird one. They're probably used to people touching them all the time and I'm kinda really always staying awayyyyy because I'm allergic. That's whyyyy they come around and are all weird on me haha! ?

I've always said cats realize who likes them, unfortunately they probably don't understand that there're people with allergies.

OMG this is whyyyy.
But have you ever noticed that cats tend to gravitate to those who aren’t feline fans? A lot of the time it’s not even about disliking the little kitties — those who suffer from a cat allergy are doing their best to avoid them. Yet, despite it all, cats still seek you out like you’re catnip, wander over and do that thing cats do to make an allergic or non-cat person shrink back in horror. You know, they saunter close to you, rub their chin on your foot, stroking you with their tails as they figure-eight around your legs. It can be unnerving.
One could assume they were simply confronted by an evil kitty who was put on this Earth solely as a means of torture. But that’s just not the case. However, there may be a reason why cats choose the people ignoring them over those who go crazy for them — and it’s us humans who are to blame.
Veternarian Dr. Debra Primovic writes that “direct eye contact is considered a sign of dominance and even aggression among cats, so your advances and eye contact can be considered threatening.” So it makes sense that a person looking for the nearest exit is much safer in Fluffy’s eyes than that person on all fours, calling and reaching out for it.
Primovic adds that cats are independent creatures that make contact “on their own terms.” But if you insist on making that feline your friend, she suggests the best way to do that is after briefly making eye contact, “proceed with a nice slow blink” because that slick move is considered non-threatening, even friendly. Some cats might even blink back at you, a sign that they are relaxed with you.
So here’s the deal from now on: cat lovers, act like you couldn’t care less. Non-cat people, get all up in their face and they’ll be running away faster than you can say “antihistamine.”
