Because I do.
Lately she's mostly releasing music that I wouldn't like if it wasn't her singing it.
I love her voice and I always will, but sometimes I feel like she wastes that voice on music that's just not good enough.
Commercial success is not really what I need. Those times are gone and that's ok, but then why not release good music? Of course it's a matter of taste, but I just don't think it's very good.
Don't want to complain, but I just think it's such a shame.
She already rarely gets the credit she deserves and she can do SO much better.
So what do you think? And what do you think should be next for P!nk?
I personally want stronger rock influences in her music, because that's what she's best at, but a mix of styles like in the good old days would be great too.
But damn less dance pop please. We have enough of that already and her voice is way too good for it.
I'll buy anything she releases, but I hate it when people like Taylor Swift and Beyonce are so successfull and P!nk's failing when it comes to her music. Not when it comes to touring of course.

I hate to say it but yeh. I am still gutted that I couldnt get tickets for this year but the thing that makes me feel a tad better about it is Trustfall is my 2nd least favourite albums of hers just slightly above CTMH. And also she seems to be swapping uptempo songs on the setlist for more ballads and im sick of her doing ballad after ballad. TF is the 3rd album in a row now where its 70%-80% ballads and im getting slightly bored of it now
I agree with you 100% on she needs to do more rock. when she released Irrelevant in 2022, i got so excited as i love that song and also that was where i thought she was going with the album and that excited me. Then she released NGNDA which ive said on here before, i have a love/hate relationship with as i do like it but it sounds like a song off of a kids movie.....and shes 44, doesnt make sense. Then, she announced the album Trustfall and she said which I'm still baffled by, she called it her 'best album shes done'....theres no way in hell its better than I'm Not Dead, Funhouse and Truth About Love but particularly IND which is a masterpiece of an album. But she desperately needs to cut down on the ballads because im so bored of them now
In terms of commercial success, she'll never get that again but thats not her fault tbh. Its 2024 and because of streaming, album sales are very low for every artist now. Whats worrying is there's loads of tickets left for every UK date this year . whereas years ago she was selling out stadiums no bother. Question is, why?? and from comments online a lot of people have said they feel like she has just been releasing the same stuff for years which tbh i cant disagree with. Her last 3 albums has been Beautiful Trauma x3 and mostly ballads. she needs to do more uptempo but doesnt sound like a kiddy song and cut the ballads down.

I agree. Hearing Cowboy Carter and the sheer amount of creativity that went into it made me realize (again) just how lame and lackluster Trustfall was. Trustfall has some good songs, but together it just doesn't feel like a creative or particularly interesting piece of work. Cowboy Carter does, and I really wish P!nk could be as artistic as Beyonce sometimes.

Good to know I'm not the only one that feels like this. And yeah, she really needs to cut down on the ballads. I'm no Beyonce fan, but damn she gets so much attention for trying something different and why can't P!nk do that anymore?
I hope we'll get a really strong album again from her in the future, but damn for that she really needs to swith things up.

I am a member of the digital spy forum and whenever Pink comes up in a discussion a lot of people say they used to love Pink but that they feel like shes been on autopilot for the last 10+ years and been releasing the same stuff. and tbh i cant say i disagree you know what i feel and i'd be curious what people thought of this, I feel like if Pink had it her way she'd give up music completely and be a full time mum. Because it does feel like in interviews she perks up when she talks about her kids but when talking about music she doesnt seem that enthusiastic anymore

Sadly I can't say I disagree either. It really feels like autopilot. And she says she's passionate, but it doesn't translate to the music.
Well, personally I think it's still there somewhere. Hopefully as the kids get older she'll be passionate about music again. More people need to say she's over. That might help to get her motivated again.

She's in mum mode now, she always said that family will come first, no matter what. Also, most of her creative energy goes into wine and all sorts, so it's kind of obvious that she will have an era where she gets distant from music. H2BH and TF is the perfect example of that.
I believe there might be a time where she will want to do something more detailed again. It's inevitable with artists, the question is when.

But then by that point it might be too late because she might have lost fans by then. I mean, it kills me to say this because I absolutely love Pink, but like years ago when she announced a new album i used to feel safe knowing it was going to be amazing and during, Im Not Dead, Funhouse and Truth About Love, she was so on the money and there was not one song i hated. Now, when she announces !10 im going to be honest, im not going to be as excited as i used to be because it just feels like all she wants to do is sing ballads. and most of the ballads on Trustfall are just bang average, apart from When I Get There and All Out Of Fight, i love them two but the rest arent bad but they arent anything special. But the annoying part is the few uptempos on Trustfall - Hate Me, Trustfall, Last Call - i love, so i think FFS if the album had more uptempo songs it would be so much better !! And also when it was first rumoured of a deluxe edition being released, i was expecting 3 or 4 new songs at least but even that was lazy, only one new song which was AGAIN another ballad and the rest was all live versions of songs from the tour, so even that felt half arsed BTW I do feel i need to explain something as I have said on here her tour isnt selling out but also ive said on here i couldnt get tickets and people might be questioning why i couldnt get tickets, the reason is im in a wheelchair and the wheelchair section on both nights at Hampden are completely sold out. Thats why, its bloody annoying for me. But i just thought i'd explain that. Also i do wanna say i still love Pink and nothing i say on here is a personal attack on her. Shes still my hero and she has got me through hard times and like when i got angry about having cerebral palsy, her music helped me with my anger. So i am in no way slating her or taking pleasure of saying the things im saying. im just being honest and saying i just miss when her albums used to be so uptempo and had so many bangers that i played it for months on end but now there's so many ballads which i feel get boring so much quicker and i feel like she isnt even interested anymore in her music career. I hope people on here understand im not slating her just to be horrible as i do still love her

It can be more of a transient thing. Songs can suddenly go viral out of nowhere, and propel you back into the spotlight. If it’s something special, I’m sure she won’t have a problem returning.

When I heard about Beyonce s releasing a country album I immediately told my partner like this is exactly what I have been missing from Pink. Take a risk, be creative, do something different this time. Make a rock and roll album. I mean Beyonce with a country album? Heck yeah. Why not.

I rather wait 5-10 years for a great! album, than getting the same ones now 3 times in a row. Music isnt her priority now, which is completely fine, but it shows.

For sure! To be honest, as much as I love P!nk, I’m not a super fan like I used to be, so it would have to take something really good to get me invested again
I hope she comes back with an album that isn’t pop.

For me, all Beyoncé, Taylor and Gaga releases are overrated (and Pink has never had and is unlikely to have media support for her releases like they do). They may even be good albums, but they are so compelling as if they were events that change the world of the music industry that I simply don't even waste my time listening to them anymore. But talking about Pink. I believe so, she needs time to get inspired again, but it doesn't have to be 5 years. I think that a maximum of 3 or 4 years is enough (I think we will have a new album in 2027). But she needs to leave RCA and needs to renew her team, but unfortunately I believe that this will not happen. She needs people who don't say yes to everything she wants to do, she needs guidance regarding the release of her albums, singles, promotion and planning her tours. She needs to want it. As for the style of the new album, I don't think a completely country album is the answer, just as she doesn't need to release a Christmas album. She can diversify as she always has, but she definitely needs to reduce the number of slow songs (no one can take it anymore). We want pop rock and happy, fun pop songs. No more songs for and with your children. (someone she listens to needs to tell her some truths).

I think that American Requiem itself is a more creative song than P!nk has made in forever. But other than that, definitely agree.
