Anyway, it’ll probably be Miley.

Stiff competition and even stiffer fanbases. good to see it’s mostly women though. Also i think Flowers is the only one that is really as good as Trustfall. The rest are a bit too generic for my personal taste. But all things considered she has no chance unfortunately Honestly i don’t like flowers that much. I don’t like her voice in it, but it is a catchy song.

You’re all so positive 😆 I doubt she’ll perform, if she does, it better not be the same as the other performances because it’s boring and done at this point. If only her performances did for sales what they used to do for her. To be honest, it should be Anti-Hero or Flowers since they were the biggest songs of the year. Trustfall is deserving of this nomination though. But if it was actually based on the artistic merit of the music video in combination with the quality of the song?

All 3 artists are great, but P!nk simply is the best.

You’re all so positive 😆 I doubt she’ll perform, if she does, it better not be the same as the other performances because it’s boring and been done at this point, it’s not that entertaining like say GITA. If only her performances did for sales what they used to do for her. To be honest, it should be Anti-Hero or Flowers since they were the biggest songs of the year. Trustfall is deserving of this nomination though. But if it was actually based on the artistic merit of the music video in combination with the quality of the song? You asked. It’s called the VMAs and was P!nks video more popular than Flowers or Anti-Hero? No, it was not. Did it go viral like say Stupid Girls or So What? No. So no she shouldn’t win to two super successful videos/songs. It’s about success also. P!nk’s was in a way, but she’s no where pulling in the numbers she used to, video or performance wise. This is just the new truth. I think it says a lot to P!nk’s success, that’s she’s nominated in the first place. Most of those artists are popular with the younger generation, and she’s more of an AC artist now. So really, I think it’s great, she was nominated with other powerhouse artists.

I also want to add that I bet Dua Lipa is over-the-moon about being nominated along side P!nk. She’s literally the only pop star that admits to stanning her (Kelly Clarkson as well). 💗 I’m so happy about the video being nominated, because while though, I don’t love the spoken parts (don’t come for me lol), I do love the video. I’m also happy P!nk still releases them since she pays for them herself. I’m so grateful for that, so her being nominated helps aiding that to continue.

I am also happy that she was nominated, but I doubt that she will attend, let alone that she wins. Because the last VMA she won by popular vote was JGMAR. The truth is that she's hardly going to win any awards, whether popular voting or members like Grammy, Aria, Brits... because unfortunately she won't hit anymore. And I don't think we're going to have any more world singles or videos from this era. I was hoping for Runaway, but I don't think it's going to happen.

All 3 artists are great, but P!nk simply is the best. Pink deserved to have as many awards as Lady Gaga, Beyonce and Taylor, but we know that she is not more popular. The last era and its peak was in TTAL, and it's unlikely to happen again. She and the label will no longer invest so much in promotion and publicity. This can be seen from H2BH and tends to be smaller and smaller, unfortunately and with that we will have fewer and fewer nominations and appearances at awards.

I doubt she’ll attend either, she’s on tour, and an appearance without a for sure win, and a performance to launch a new song, would be too much work for no pay back. As sad it sounds, I tend to agree. I think the era is done in terms of singles. If she hasn’t launched something by now, it’s a tell. I think she’ll ride out the tour, and then go back home and be a mom, wife, wine maker, sister and friend. And maybe we’ll get another tour in a few years. Because really, if she’s not going to be really behind the music, I don’t see the sense.

For a while now, her solo albums have mostly just felt like content to a touring end, rather than purely for the music itself. She's been led to believe that she must depend on her tourability, and has kind of let the music slip as a result.

H2BH was such an anomaly in her discography though, I feel. Wasn't it a rushed contract-fulfiller that couldn't be heavily promoted since she was on/in between tour legs?

I don’t remember anything about a contract-fulfiller. I thought it was most likely because BT started to fall off and she still had a big amount of shows left and needed to reignite interest.

Just like I’m also not a fan of a lot of the tour opening monologues, they could off cheesy.

Is someone able to back me up re the contract-fulfiller reasoning/rumour? I'm pretty sure that's the consensus?
