Summer Carnival / Trustfall Tour [With Spoilers]

What is wrong with all of you?

She needs to sing hits on these big stadiums. Most people that attend her shows are not hardcore fans like us. I'm sure you want to hear Free, God is a DJ, Eventually, etc, but she needs to please a huge group of people during 2 hours by selecting songs (read hits) from a 23 years long discography.
She sung a lot of new stuff, though.

Secondly, she can not invent hot water with the aerial stunts. She'll be 44 in 3 months. We're lucky that she's still doing it. If you told me years ago that she'd be doing these crazy stunts in her mid 40s, I'd have told you that you were crazy.
And she's a singer. Not an acrobat.

No one does a show like she. Do you know how physically demanding this is?

About the production, I don't find huge production that impressive, because you need money and you'll have a huge stage with big screens. What she does is far more impressive. And the production is her best yet imo.

Okay so what we have to accept like Slava said that she’s not doing this for us, the hardcore fans. She wouldn’t be touring stadiums to start with. She’s doing this for the increasing amount of casual P!nk fans and let’s be honest her main attraction, what everybody knows about her is that she’s doing aerial stunts and sings live. She’s getting older, it’s all getting harder with the kids at school and the winery etc. What she does every night on this show is amazing and i doubt any of her “rivals” do half as much as she does. Really, i am amazed by what she does and how she does it.
That being said it is a bit strange that she said on instagram she would be doing crazy new things and that is kinda not true?

And now for my rant as a hardcore fan

- i love that she sings Last Call
- I LOVE I Am Here, so glad she kept it, and really happy that JLAP is still going strong
Just really looking forward to getting together with my P!nk buddies and enjoying ourselves. It’s gonna be great fun either way.

- so things i really don’t like:
- Kids in Love??? What???
- i was happy about No Ordinary Love but i saw that it’s very similar to the Wicked Game routine. Prefer the stripped-down Rose Ave. version.
- Make You Feel My Love is a good song but not a GREAT one imo, she could have chosen anything instead of it from her own catalogue. Like Our Song?
- i am so sooo tired of Blow Me, Just Like Fire, GTPS and Raise Your Glass and So What. She doesn’t shine with this uptempo songs imo. Crowdpleaser? Yes.
- Irrelevant seems to be a very dividing song and i guess it’s the new DMP but i just think it’s meh and feels like wasted space.
- i really hate that she brought Willow out. I have a really different mindset about parading her kids around and profiting from people seeing Willow. I think it’s awful.

I’d never compare her to other artists in general, no way, but there is a very clear difference in the approach/effort/innovation of her branding, management, label, and promo/marketing team. They rest on their laurels FAR too much, and it's higgledypiggledy at times. For example, that merch and the deluxe edition of TF - it's... basic. Especially for an artist of her stature, when there are so many fun and cool things that can (and are) being done by others (who I am sadly not a fan of, but I can appreciate it objectively). I'm not blaming her, but she deserves better. I think she may have a case of "yes men" with the people surrounding her.

She needs HookedOnSpice on her team. Oooh, I'd buy everything. 🤣

I’m quite lucky she’s the only artist I have ever seen live so can’t compare anyway apart from what’s on TikTok but I wouldn’t want to compare. She’s amazing in what she does and I love everything about the show! I’m lucky to be able to afford tickets at the mo and definitely wouldn’t take it for granted or wish she done something else.

It’s appealing to me and I have seen her before…. Let’s try and keep this positive.. this is a thread for spoilers and to celebrate the tour. Personally if you’re glad you haven’t got tickets then why comment on here.

I (personally) disagree. And I believe there is nothing wrong with me ;-) It's just a personal opinion from someone,who attended all tours so far since IMD. And I think the feedback is valid. Not everyone needs to see it in that way. But if someone does, i think it's relatable. 

Why?

1. Setlist:
I don't complain about the fact, that she is singing her hits for a tour in a stadium, I think hits should be a mandatory thing for a stadium artist. So, I don't expect her singing some hardcore fan favourites. 

It is the order of songs. How she is presenting them. You can not deny that there are only minor changes to the past three tours (Pre-BT Concerts, BT Tour and Summer Carnival) on what songs she is singing, how, in what part of the concert. Always starting with GTPS, ending with So What. Having just Like A Pill, Who Knew in the beginning etc. 


2. Production:
She is using the old BT Stadium tour stage (same stage & cat walk) and just changed the props from "Heart Shape LEDs" to Standard LED screens and added some Palm Trees, Ice Creams for the summer reference. So, for me thats not her best one. It´s just a recycled and lazy version, I´ve already seen. And for some reason it gives me Katy Perry 2010 vibes.


3. Stunts:

I absolutely agree that it is impressive doing this stunts!

But, unfortunately I am tired of seeing her doing these stunts all over again. When I see the "So What Wheel" appearing I already start to roll my eyes, she is doing this since the Funhouse Carnival. Seeing now that she is even repeating the RYG and Try stunt is something, that bores me. I would even prefer that she cuts these stunts, does some new dances, like the Trustfall performance (I really like). I don't expect her to proof, that she can still do it.


4. Audience:
So, in general: Is this an impressive concert, when you will see her the first time? 100000% for sure! But how many people will really see her the first time? She is touring for decades and having stadiums and arenas (at least in Europe). So, I assume that the majority of the audience already saw her in one of the past concerts. 


Based on this, I personally decided now against buying a ticket. I understand (100%) why prices for those events getting higher and higher. But on the same side, the expenses for the majority of people and middle class increased as well. So, I need to think about where to spend my money on. Will I buy a ticket for P!nk and the same old same old, or will I take the money and see some of her peers, that is delivering something new to me (I personally haven't seen before). In that case, I would prefer seeing someone as Beyonce, Taylor or Styles, that I have not seen before, or as Beyonce where I know the show is fresh and new. Even if all three of them a physically, dances, stunts not even close to P!nk. 


Looking into the current ticket availabilities for Berlin (see venue map) it looks like, I am not the only one, who is questioning this btw.
And this is really unusual. Berlin was always a huge sold-out candidate a lot of month in advance. 

Maybe I worded it wrong, what I meant is I think it’s harsh slating the show if you’re not even going to see it. But we are all entitled to our own opinion just think some wording is a bit… not rude but too direct. And I get some might not be seeing it due to the prices of tickets and I would never hold that against anyone!
