I think they'll be identical. I think that the only reason the Summer Carnival Tour is called that is because they had planned the dates for 2022 before they decided to delay the tour, but they couldn't push the dates back past the way they arleady are, resulting in the weird tour stuff going on now. Yeah but there was an interview where she mentioned the stadiums will be more festival feel and the arenas will be more intimate which makes me think she may change the setlist a little, also she said there is more stuff to hang from in an arena in the same breath so that could also change maybe a trick or two. If the stadiums miss out on super tricks that she does indoors though I do think it strange how she doesn’t do an arena leg for each part of the world so we all get to see the whole thing. Can you send a link to that video

i like the palm trees and the beach ball. alll three screens look way to small for stadiums. glad she doesn’t have the ramp up to the main stage. it could’ve been worse but it could’ve been soooooooooooo much better. the summer carnival font is ok but the lips are weird. the grey banner looks cheap. it doesn’t command the same respect that taylor’s and beyoncé’s stage do. i was hoping she could’ve made it special on some way. i think it’s so small because they have to adapt it to arenas easily. the stage will look extremely tiny at the bigger stadiums like sofi.

Bolton holds approx 35,000 for a concert and is the smallest for the English dates, so I would think they would have standby stage blocks for bigger stadiums ready. I’ll let you know next weekend at Sunderland as that’s bigger.

Was hoping for some stage prints like funhouse tour. Just think in a stadium you have so many people higher up looking down and it’s makes the stage so much more impressive.

I have a theory and I am very certain that it's correct. This tour was not meant to happen this way. Originally, they had planned to do stadiums back in 2022 (Justin said this in an interview). A list of dates hidden on the Summer Carnival website was found which included a bunch of US stadiums in the summer momths. This would be similar to the 2017 festival run. Included on those list of dates was Bottlerock. I believe that for some reason, those plans fell apart and they decided they weren't going to tour last year. However, dates that they couldn't cancel (the festival ones like Bottlerock, Ohana, and ACL) stayed because they had no choice. Because they had to cancel/delay the 2022 run, but they already had a bunch of venues ready, they pushed it back. Unfortunately, I believe that because of the delay their options in new dates were very limited as it was not expected. This is probably why the dates ended up as they are. This made it so they had to announce the tour before the album or else there wouldn't be enough time for ticket sales and all of that. Now, back to the 2022 dates that happened. The theme on those dates seemed to be around balls. At the stages they had the floating balls, the balls came in during Blow Me, and there were balls around the band. The merch for 2022 (which said "2022 summer", so really "2022 summer carnival" with carnival cut off) also had balls on it -- the same balls as the Summer Carnival 2023 branding. The pictures of her used for the 2022 merch are also the same as the ones being used for Summer Carnival. So this branding was meant for 2022, but when they had to go through with the few festivals they probably hastily edited out "Carnival" to it. So basically, they had a summer carnival tour for 2022 planned. It fell apart. Locked in dates stayed. Branding was quickly changed. Canceled dates were moved to 2023 at probably the only date the venue could do. This made them have to announce it pre-album. This led to the huge tour-branding mess we have now. Certain branding was also recycled from 2022's.

To add my theory into this I think the reasoning for cancellation would be an obvious one and that the surgeries she had over Christmas period would have prevented her from being fit for tour in time.

The problem is the rescheduling. I don’t think the venues (and her maybe) could be very flexible due to the change. The dates that ended up happening were in a way that it had to be announced prior to the album or else there wouldn’t be enough ticket sales. So they had to announce it has summer 2023 because the album wasn’t out.
